Booked two weeks in advance and get a call 2 days out from my move saying they won’t have any trucks. When asked what the solution will be they just said “I don’t know, they just told me to call you”

This location is where I chose to return a cargo van that I had rented in Florida and driven one way back to this area. Considering the experience I had when I picked the van up in Florida, I can only rate this location with 2 stars. Check in/out with vehicle: at pick up in FL, I was walked completely around the van, pointing out noted damage. Showed cleanliness of vehicle and amount of gas in tank. Very thorough. In comparison, at drop off I received none of this: no inspection of the vehicle condition, no notation on the contents of the gas tank, no nothing, in fact. The rep never walked out of the office. Facility at pick up/drop off: the FL location was clean, organized and rep I encountered was very thorough. At drop off in Tomball: dirty office, gravely parking lot, rep hardly spoke at all. Not very friendly. I did have all of my paperwork with me and was provided a drop-off receipt. I kept an eye on my credit card statement online to ensure that no additional charges were tacked on after drop off. I did return the vehicle earlier than contracted, as well. As impressed as I was when I picked this van up, I was that unimpressed when I dropped it off. I felt confident driving the 17 hours after picking up in FL; however, I'm not sure I would have been as confident if I had picked up from this location and started on a 1200-mile journey. There is definitely room for improvement here.

Way too expensive and the line it too long to try to see what inventory is available. I'd skip this location.

1st gave me a truck that wasn't working correctly with the check engine light on. Gave me another truck, gas tank was not full. Then I was charged for not filling up the tank on my return of the truck. To a tune of $400, for extra miles and gas. Customer service is VERY slow to respond and thinks this outrageous charge is on me. I am still waiting on a itemized receipt, 2 weeks out.

0 out of 5 stars. Booked a moving truck 4 weeks in advance. Called 3 days out from my move just to confirm that they would have a truck for me. They confirmed a truck would be ready for me at my pickup time. I live an hour away and I was half way there the morning of my move and got a call that they would not be able to get me a truck that day. They offered no compensation for their poor service. IT GETS WORSE! A couple days later instead of compensation for their mistake, I get a “BUDGET TRK NO SHOW” charge of $75.00 on my credit card. Upon calling them about it, all they could do is point me to customer service which in turn gave me an email where I had to explain all of this. Do not rent with budget truck. They are called budget truck for a reason because they are a piss poor company.

As a diabetic single father of two daughters aged 7 and 10, I turned to Budget Truck for obvious reasons to save money during our move. I was notified the day of that our truck was no longer available. These scum bags must operate on a first come first serve basis!! Through these challenging COVID-19 times you’d hope for some decent customer service and I found that at U Haul where not only did they match my price but offered to lend a couple movers to help out because of my particular health situation. Blessings to everyone and their family moving during these times.

Worst customer service ever. Stay away. Will lie and take your money at same time. Trucks will break down on you and car trailers don't work and they can't repair. Then they want you to pay full price for things that don't work and put you behind schedule. Not to mention waiting a few hours for a repair guy. You have been warned...stay away from budget

Lol, I wish I had seen the reviews. Unfortunately Budget doesn't show you the ratings for their locations when you are reserving a truck. They apparently didn't know I had a reservation then took forever to get me checked out. As the other reviews state run away.

If I could do zero I would! This location has changed my mind about renting with Budget next time. We rented a truck for using it for 3 hours, (even though the rental was for one day) the representative told us no worries you can drop it off after closed and leave the keys in the drop off box... (I'll attach the sign in the drop off box showing the misleading fact of its existence... ) when we arrived to leave the truck the gate had a lock, we tried calling customer service but they told us first, that this location did NOT have a drop off option and second that we will be liable if we left the truck parked on the street, that it was better to take it home and return it next day that they would totally understand the dispute of the extra miles/gas for bringing the truck. Long story short... guess what? Next day, not only they wanted to charge for the extra 20 miles, but an extra day and late fees, they even run the card we left as a security deposit without authorization they said we should've parked the car outside the gate and left the keys “we do it all the timeâ€. This is how a $45 dollar deal ended up in $120 plus the “great†energy, hours of conversations and bad moods.
