I used to really enjoy going to Running Branch Marina (Now known as Liberty Rock RV Park at Running Branch Marina) as a child over 25 years ago, so I was super excited to share this childhood favorite with my child. However, we were super disappointed. Our cabin smelled of mold terribly. I am pretty sure that the cabins still had the same carpet from my last visit when I was a child, because it was old, and disgustingly dirty. The mattresses on the bunks are old and paper thin, probably from the 70s, as they have gold/orange/brown flowers on them. Some of the wood at the bottom of our door was rotted off, so we had to duct tape a piece of card board at the bottom of our door to try and keep the critters out. The community restrooms were awful...When you turned on the sink in the Ladies restroom, water would bubble up out of the floor drain, leaving a terrible stench in the restroom. The Grounds were decent, as I remember them from my childhood. However, there was no water in the canal. I understand the lack of water in the canal is out of anyone's hands since there has been a drought in many areas in Texas, but it is very disappointing that none of the staff at Running Branch felt that it was worth mentioning to us, knowing that we were traveling with a boat and coming to fish. As a matter of fact, the water in Lake Limestone was so low that there were no ramps open to even get our boat in the water. Again, I understand that Running Branch cannot control the water lever, but it seems kind of deceitful to not mention this to someone renting a cabin. Will definitely not be returning unless there are some major renovations with the campground!

My family and I have visited Liberty Rock RV Park several times and I can’t say enough great things about this place and the awesome people that run it. We have camped there, stayed in the cabins and even rented out kayak and a boat this past weekend!The bathrooms are exceptionally clean, the location is awesome and management is super nice and accommodating.We can’t wait to come back!

Rented an 8 passenger boat today and had a great time. Really good price. Great service from Kyle and very friendly. We had to end our rental early due crying kids and Kyle was there promptly to pick up the boat and help unload the heavy stuff. Great guy and great marina can't wait to rent the boat again.

I spend few days on December 2021, the new owners are wonderful, so friendly. The place is peaceful and beautiful to stay and rest, connect with nature and God.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Manager eager to be of assistance. . All public facilities are neat and very clean.Water is superior.Phone service is skimpy.Almost all other campers are very friendly.Lake access is good.Very nice campground.Think we will stay a while.Made to feel very much at home here

Great facility and view. Moreover the family that run the campground are very friendly! This was my second time going there this year, but they have already made improvements to the campground. Things are only going to get better there!

Just spent a few days here and loved it. Very peaceful and spacious. New owners and they are making a lot of effort to improve the campground. Fishing was excellent.... white bass. Many waterfront sites.Will certainly be back.

A wonderful campground off the beaten track. The young couple running the place are courteous and enthusiastic about meeting the needs of their clients. I hope to visit again soon. We camped there in our tent for three nights and wished it could have been longer.
