Love the group classes! I don’t understand why the pool remains closed all year except for the summer.

We attend the Silver Sneakers class in The Woodlands. The location is near our home. The sub, Melissa S and Instructor, Olga M are wonderful and the exercise appropriate for our age and needs. Kevin and Lois M

Late afternoons are mobbed by entitled high school kids that are there to socialize and sit on machines playing with their phones. They need to post an attendant there to tell them to go find another area to hang out. The rest of us came there for a reason.

I’ll say that it’s always clean and all of that. HOWEVER, it is run by teenagers on the weekends without a member of management, so when something needs to be handled outside of their rules, they get snippy and snotty and can’t do anything at all to help you. I’ve also found that a place that brags about its accolades in inclusivity sure draws as much attention to certain disabilities as possible. I’m disappointed. We thought this place would be one of love and accommodation, instead I took my son home in tears. Don’t expect any compassion or care. It’s become like any other business where you feel disposable.

This is a review for the Pool only.We were at the pool and wanted to play and have some fun, until we found out that the sprinklers and water slides were all shut off. We asked the life guards and they said "The water must reach a minimum of 70F". The water was measured then and they said it was 72F. We waited for 30 more minutes and still no slides/sprinklers. There was a grandma with her grandchildren that claimed that they have driven here for 1:30Hours just for the slides/sprinklers zone. Very Sad.

The front desk staffers are very helpful and professional. They are the people you like too meet and greet on daily basis. (I exercise there daily )

EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE POOL!!!!! This is what all the lifeguards shouted as someone floated in the middle of the kiddie pool, motionless. Lifeguards start running as little kids get out of the pool and parents look around frantic. The person is pulled out of the pool and by then a dozen lifeguards are there with a stretcher and first aid kit. A few minutes later someone comes around to all of us anxiously waiting to let us know "this is just practice." Are you kidding me? No signage, no warnings, and we all just get to be little pawns in your practicing. I didn't agree to that - I didn't agree to going through that stress or having to explain to my three year old why someone is just laying in the water, why everyone's running around. This was absolutely unprofessional. Do better. We came here to swim with our three year old - he has sensory differences and doesn't like anything around his wrists or ankles - no pants or long sleeves. But for some reason this Y requires all children, even a few months old to wear plastic bands to indicate their swimming capabilities, even with both parents with him the entire time.

What makes The Woodlands Family YMCA at Branch Crossing so outstanding is the amazing staff and the genuine care that they demonstrate to their members. Ashley Sevilla, in particular, goes out of her way to makes members like myself feel valued and prioritized in a way that sets this YMCA location apart from the many others that I have experienced. Time and time again Ashley displays a level of professionalism and proficiency that makes her a credit to this fine organization and her excellence seems to set a high standard for her YMCA team members.

Guys this is a great YMCA. I used to do semi professional powerlifting and this YMCA has great platforms, new weights, equipment, etc. There are a lot of negative reviews but I cant imagine why. Been to 100s of gyms and they all have some issues but for the money this one is great.
