As a realtor it’s super important to have a title company that you can rely on to answer questions, call for help and guidance for unusual situations that may arise and answer your calls after business hours in the occasion that “emergency” happens. Stewart Title of the Woodlands has consistently been here for me and my clients. I try and close there when possible. Also, their business development person, Shelly Keller, does a great job planning informative CE classes and other required training for realtors. Highly recommend!

This is a warning to any agents or sellers considering using Stewart Title in Waterway Square. Had a clean closing on Friday morning (cash buyer to cash seller) and buyers have immediate access and the keys to the house. Stewart Title uses Amegy Bank and has refused to provide the funds to the seller on the same day and will not release funds to the seller for an indefinite amount of time. As a seller, you will no longer have rights to your home or the funds from the sale of your home. As an agent, you will not receive your commission. Amegy confirmed and verified the buyer's funds yet has refused to release the funds to the seller which is illegal. Meanwhile, Amegy Bank is making money on the interest on the sale of your home by refusing to release the money that is legally yours.

As a first-time home buyer, Stewart Title was excellent and could not have made the experience run any more smoothly. Tricia was our closing officer and such a pleaser to work with. She was very responsive, extremely knowledgeable and so friendly to converse with during our signing. Their location in the Waterway was super convenient and made the post-signing celebration lunch much easier since they are located near many delicious restaurants. Overall, it was such a great experience.

Closing for a property scheduled for 12/14/2020. Unfortunately closing did not occur as scheduled due to title concerns which is okay, but Stewart Title company will not provide a resolution date. Numerous other properties have closed in the same neighborhood that would have had the same issue. The response given by assistant, "This will take months!" When I asked who has to clear up the concerns the assistant said she does! I left a message for the actual closer over a week ago without a return call. Hope others have had a better experience than me!

For your information, They charge more than 2000 for owner title insurance fee on a 300,000 house and it is a set fee , non negotiable. Now sure if the closing process will be smooth, will update later.

Never received a estimated closing statement when I got the final it was wrong and they said they would correct and resend. They sent the wrong one AGAIN .when I asked .about an unknown item on my closing statement I was given the wrong answer. A day after my closing and I still haven't been funded for my home sale.The lady in charge of my closing went on vacation with the fileincomplete (Yessica). I don't believe it could have gone much worse!
