Have an SBA loan through Spirit of Texas Bank. It's been nothing but problems. Attempted to sell my business months before Covid took place - call after call to SOTB to get approval for the sale and the person we needed to talk to was magically always out of office - even on days we were told they'd be back (which was most the days we called). Eventually the person answering the phone would just stop checking and recognized our voice and would say they weren't in - and didn't know when they'd be in. Months went by with us calling and emailing almost daily and never heard back from that person (still haven't). Covid happened, buyers backed out, and we then had to close the business completely - and now have an SBA loan that we're stuck with. Oh - they also incorrectly entered our business code so we lost out on some of the government assistant programs for SBAs. Still trying to figure that one out (I doubt we will and will just lose that money too). Would highly highly highly recommend you go elsewhere. Literally, anywhere else.
