I am a newbie to fly fishing. Watched a few of your videos online and wanted to learn how to fly fish. Saw online you offer a fly fishing 101 class and online it says just walk in and ask about it and you will get a 101 class. Boy was I wrong, I was greeted with it is too hot so we canceled them which makes sense as it is hot. And me not calling ahead is my fault but now I have been turned off from this company as I wish this was posted on the website or at least a warning to call ahead before I drove an hour out of my way excited to learn a new way to fish to be met with " we won't be doing those til around February." It is August that's 6 months away.

Don't park here and go look around or eat by this place during a concert they will tow your car from an empty parking lot real fast and act like it was your fault for leaving your vehicle unattended while you shop.

As a beginner fly fisherman I'll admit it's a tad expensive but Orvis is the place to go if you want quality also there was a worker I believe his name was elliot but he was very helpfull for example he was very knowledgeable about the currant hatch and how to use the flies but over all Orvis gives great quality and has extremely experienced and knowledgeable staff

The team at Orvis in The Woodlands is awesome! Jacob and Elliot have always been a huge help in finding the right gear. They also teach free classes which is awesome for beginners. Can't thank the team enough!

Customer service was great !!!But I am very disappointed with ORVIS made in Vietnam…..?????? I will not shop if it’s not made in USA

E-Commerce customer service is a joke. I had half of an order canceled without notice. Do business in the store and physically grab what pieces you want!Whenever asked about it via customer service representative wasn't accommodating.They swore by date/times of email sent, yet still not a single email from the representative. They'll spam you with promotional emails twice a day but whenever they mess up it's not their fault.

I've been having pretty poor experiences with the customer service here. Once you've bought what you need, the overall attitude became pretty dismissive and this morning, as I was wrapping up a conversation the employee started talking and as I was taking my receipt, another employee came up and called the next person up on top of me and the person that originally started the conversation just said "happy fishing".....and I was mid sentence when this happened. I don't know if it's just me, but this has been a consistent patter the last few times I've been in there.

I went in because i was seeking a multi-pocketed vest and not only did i find one I fell in love with in color and size, but the sales person was an outstanding human and so very helpful. I love that Orvis donates back a percentage of the sale to conservation causes. A perfect shopping experience. Thank you!

Good store for pet gifts and accessories! My dog loved the toys. Great location at Market Street - The Woodlands, TX. Also, they have great outdoor gear. Overall I recommend going there.

I only drove by this time. A major accomplishment in it self. I know from past experiences that the sales people are very knowledgeable and helpful. The gear is top notch and the fly-fishing 101 class is both helpful and fun.

This is my local Orvis store and we are so thankful they have a presence in The Woodlands! Great merchandise and a professional, helpful staff. Orvis is the last American outdoor company that is family/privately owned. All the rest; Filson, LL Bean, Cabelas, have all gone the other direction and have sadly (IMHO) gone downhill. Orvis remains true to its roots and they stand behind their products and customers. They have the best product guarantee in the business!
