Dripped off my son’s watch for a battery change, and the salesman said it would take 20 minutes, which seems long, since that was no one else there. After walking around the mall for 10 minutes, we returned expecting the salesman to be done. Instead, he was gone, and the kiosk was vacant. Twenty minutes later, he finally returns and gives us the watch. $27 dollars for a battery seems high. Although his sign listed all major credit card, he only wanted VISA or MC, and then his machine “didn’t work.” Would not go here again.

* BEWARE OF THIS PLACE * I am forced to give a star, when this place is not worth even one star. I dropped in to get a watch band resized thinking the MOST I would be charged $10. When he told me $30 for the 5 links removed I felt I was flat out robbed. I argued with the guy that he was overcharging me for the removal of the links. If this guy is charging this for link removals to pay his rent for his booth then he needs to find another place to park or find another profession.

Charged $35 for battery replacement. I'm sure he said $25. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but, think that's way overpriced. I recommend getting your price on paper and checking nearby jewellers before handing over your time piece.

It's About Time (the watch booth by the food court) in the Woodlands Mall needs to find another place to barter their goods and services. I have been taking watches to this vendor since the mall opened which I believe was in 1998. Well today was the LAST TIME. I needed the battery replaced in a woman's watch which I have done repeatedly with this vendor. The last time I had the battery replaced it was $20, today I was told it would be $40 which caused me to ask him to repeat the price. I heard him correctly and said okay. When I went back to get my watch it wasn't complete because he wanted to show me it needed to be cleaned - I said no, not today. I had it cleaned through his services a few years ago and that was $120 and took 3 weeks. He started in on me with the line that if the watch is dirty it will drain the battery. I said just the battery today. Then he started getting loud and saying I don't know how you expect me to make any money, it takes time to replace battery (really???) and I don't make any money. I said never mind, just put my watch back together. He started getting louder about not making any money and said I'll do it for $20. My husband said to put the watch back together and I'll give you $20 for your time since it is so precious and that is all you are worried about. At that point I walked away leaving my husband to deal with this guy. The guy (who I will say is the owner) put the battery in for $20 and we left. I will NEVER give this guy any more business - he wasn't happy with the $40 that I was willing to pay for a stupid battery and took the $20 for the job. I'm sure the battery will not last.

I was charged $13 for a pin/bar for the band of my watch. The repair was incorrect. When I came back with the pin that was the wrong size, I waited ten minutes while the repair man was on the phone before being acknowledged, only to be told there were no refunds and it would be half of an hour more. I waited only to be given a watch back with the same problem, a pin that was too short. Good luck.

$30 dollars for a watch band resizing, 3 links removed. Didn't even bother reading the previous review posted. I suppose I should have. This business charges $10 bucks a link when needing a watch band adjustment. Can't say I have ever paid that much for a band resize but I'm glad I didn't have my wooden banded watch sent off since the employee claimed he could not adjust it in house. I can only imagine the cost as I only need one link removed.

Same expirience with previous reviewer. My husband came there and asked to replace the battery. He was told that the watches needs to be cleaned for $85 as battery replacement didn't help. He disagreed and decided to check by himself. old battery was installed back incorrectly as bottom contact was bended so it didn't touch the bottom of battery. I can't say was it done on purpose or that watch "expert" simply can't do his job but in both cases looks surprizing....Next day we got a battery in Ace Hardware for $5 and installed by ourself - working fine right now.Never ever go there again.

I was in the mall and decided to stop by this place and get my daughter's new watch adjusted. To my surprise, the man charged $20 to adjust the watch! When I asked why it was so expensive and told him that I could get it done for $5 elsewhere, he told me that his rent was $6000 a month and he had to pay for it some way. SMH. Beware!

Deceptive practices. "It's About Time" advertises $20 for watch battery replacement. When I brought my watch to "It's About Time", they said that my watch needed more than a battery and it needed cleaned and oiled and that would cost $60 and two weeks. That sounded fishy to me so I brought it to Mr K's (see below) and the new battery was the only problem.Mr.K's Watch Repair, 2715 Bissonnet St #107, Houston, TX5 minutes and $5 to replace a watch battery! Great and quick service.
