I will start off by saying, Emerus is a great company to work for. However, the coding department is well known for it’s huge turnover. This department works remotely “from home” which is an awesome opportunity. The downfall is when more facilities are being added, management don’t communicate or structure a new plan for the change. Which affects the coders to work heavy workloads, while feeling unappreciated, never have a off day, short staff, work long hours a day, 14 + days straight, and being bullied by one of the leads “Laura.” If you have a family I would not reccomend this department to work. If you are single, older (with a boring life), or someone who don’t have a career path then this department maybe a great fit for you. The leads are horrible at scheduling, need training on audits, need to be on the same page with coding updates, and all 3 need to treat employees the same when doing effenciency reports. This department has not always been dissatisfying; not until the leads came aboard, and the volume in facilities increased. When the now manager was handling everything on her own, the coding department ran smoother relaxed and had a less turnover. Human Resource is a waste to report any issues, nothing will get done. Be Aware!!
