Our son played soccer for many years at Dynamo-Dash, now HTX Soccer, and we highly recommend the Club. They employ professional coaching staff, organized skill-building training sessions, host well-run tournaments, and if your child has aspirations to play in college, they have a great recruiting platform available for their players to assist in that process as well. Whether your child wants to play soccer for the first time, advance their skills by playing competitively, or has aspirations to play collegiately or beyond, I fully encourage you to consider HTX Soccer. We fully enjoyed our time with the Coaches, staff, other players and parents. ⚽️

We have experience with recreational, youth academy, competitive, and the camps. Three of our kids are currently with HTX.Rec: practice twice per week with a volunteer coach, games on Saturday. We had fun, but since the kids like soccer we decided to move up for more serious training.Youth Academy: practice twice per week with a paid coach, games on Saturday. The kids get a lot of practice with game-type play. The coaches communicate with the parents well and are available to answer questions. All the coaches are professional and approachable. They concentrate on teaching the players to play their positions and make decisions on the field. They usually have the same coach for practices and most games but sometimes will switch around to give the kids a chance to learn from other coaches in the program. I like this because it gives the younger kids an opportunity to take ownership of making decisions during their games and communicating with their team on the field. They are not relying on the coach to call out from the sidelines all the time.Competitive: practice twice per week with a super awesome coach (looking at you, Coach Jen!!), games on Saturday, sometimes on Sunday based on schedule. My daughter’s technical skills and overall understanding of strategy have increased so much! Also, my daughter’s confidence on and off the field has improved. Those types of skills are so great! Being on a team and learning what it means to communicate and work together is so valuable. She always looks forward to practices and games.I really like the camps that are offered for additional player development. We have done the summer camps, spring break, and Thanksgiving break camps. The coaches are on time and the kids work hard! Water breaks are a priority.Overall, we are very happy with all the coaches and their expertise. They are all professional and have been great with answering any questions we have. Every time I call the office to ask questions, Michelle is very helpful and I always get the answers I need.I also appreciate that my kids are not “talked down to” or made to feel bad by any of the coaches. It is all about learning, practicing new skills, and having a positive outlook. If they do not do well during a practice or game, the coach points out how to correct it in a positive way. They are never yelled at. We have experience with almost all of the coaches because we’ve signed up for so many camps. Thanks for being such a wonderful organization!!!!!

This has been a horrible experience!! It is all about the money!! They do not care about anything but the money! If you have a problem/issue it takes days/weeks to even get a reply! They are also okay with your child being bullied!!!

Organizer are very unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone. I enrolled my kids for the fall and this is end of October and one of my kid is tossing from 1 team to another.

First of all- I’m a firm believer in honest reviews. This is for the 2013-2014 age group (Girls youth program). This program is meant to be competitive, however it’s not. It has a recreational feel to it compared to the price that you pay. EVERYONE is accepted and told that the player will be given the opportunity to be moved up to the A team, B team, C team. Some players deserving to be moved up and some not.Players are not able to improve due to politics*** and not given the opportunity to be challenged or given the opportunity to try out.Tryouts lasted one day only.Coaching- Coaching differs. There is not one consistent coach. During games, there was different coaches and it was very unorganized. Having different coaches at every game hurts the player due to the coaches not knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the player.* At one game, the coach was on the field DURING the game, yelled and bashed at the players and the girls had a hard time recovering their confidence.Players do not warm up, do not stretch at the beginning of practice. Just recently towards the end of the season, players started basic fundamental skills.Practice and games are NOT GAME SPEED. Very slow paced compared to other leagues. The fields are turf and beautiful. Bathrooms mostly clean and well maintained.Overall- if you want your child to play at the next level, Dynamo Dash youth program or HTX soccer youth program is not it. It’s not challenging, not consistent and not competitive.

Stay away. Send your sons and daughters to a competitive club that isn't trying to create a monopoly in Houston. Any time an organization scales quickly, they are likely doing so for the purpose of capitalizing on financial gain at all cost. Because the HDDY took over Rush and capitalized on the bankruptcy of the Texans, they took a very aggressive approach to establishing a large footprint in Houston. In doing so, they have alienated other clubs and leagues, and have become arrogant about their methodology which is really just a glorified recreational program. My guess is that the positive reviews on this page are by parents that are just happy to have their kids in a program that is well organized and has coaches that seem like they know what they are doing. Anyone that is willing to hold a competitive soccer club that you are giving thousands of dollars to each year to a high standard has likely experienced their share of frustrations with this club. But don't you dare share those frustrations or concerns. You will never hear the term, "We're sorry," or, "We got it wrong." The hubris of this club won't allow such terms to come from the mouths of those in charge. I am telling you, look to clubs like Rise, Albion, Challenge, Juventus, PSG, or any other local competitive club. Don't buy into the MLS affiliate BS, either. The club isn't even a direct affiliate of the Houston Dynamo MLS Team. They basically lease the name and logo, and have somewhat of an "in" with the professional club. But when you ask how many HDDY Competitive kids have actually joined the Houston Dynamo Academy that rosters players in the professional ranks, you will get maybe 1, maybe 2 examples? And rumor has it that the MLS organization is dropping the affiliation and this club will have to rename and rebrand soon. Seriously, stay away. You have been warned.

My daughter was selected for the girls team with her coach being Edgar Granados. With this particular season referenced being her first club soccer experience, we were very excited about the opportunity. In the end, this actually ended up being her worst soccer experience to date. Edgar seemed to have an alliance with parents from Rise who transferred with him to the Dynamo organization. My daughter was not developed in any way and actually lost a great deal of confidence in the skills she had due to the lack of attentiveness from her coach and executive leadership. Every time I advocated for my daughter and her lack of development, Edgar was non responsive and NEVER replied to any form of communication. As a mother, it came to a point where I had to address and listen to my daughters rally cry in her being completely unhappy with the lack of team and attentiveness to her development...so we quit. Even in this, Edgar never replied to the resigning email. A huge waste of $1200.

Attended the 2022 Houston Cup hosted by the @Houston Dynamo & Dash Youth Soccer Club. It was one of the best run tournaments we’ve ever attended, despite a number of rain and lightning delays. Great facilities, great communication, even some of the best officiating I’ve never seen. We’ll done.

I was a player of this club back when it was Rush and now as a parent it is great to see all of the progress and growth the club has had. The coaching staff has always been one of the best in the area and its great to see that they have kept some of the great coaches over the years! As a player it was a great organization and provided a lot of support in the different stages. My parents were not familiar with the college recruitment process here in the US so their College Advisory Program was an awesome tool to have free to me as a player. I was able to get exposure to colleges through the showcases my team participated in and the College Advisory Program helped me navigate communications with the coaches of the schools I was interested in ultimately leading to me receiving scholarship offers from three different schools. It was a great place back then, but the opportunities they offer their players now are next level! I am really looking forward to my son working with some of the same coaches that I had back in the day while benefitting from the growth the club has had!

I was very hesitant when I first signed my daughter and son up for the Dynamo Dash youth soccer program. So far it has been one of the best decisions we've made. The club really focuses on player development and preparing them for college. Coaches are very knowledgeable and dedicated to making sure your child receives the best training and opportunities.

Great rec program in Beaumont. I feel like my son is much further along because it’s focused on soccer fundamentals and not dad ball.
