I had an urgent issue with my vehicle, and Byrds Automotive came to the rescue! Christopher Huff my mechanic and Glen Seal, front desk, not only got me in fast but also completed the repairs promptly as promised. I appreciate the transparency in pricing, as the final cost was much lower than what I had heard from friends. I recently experienced outstanding service at the Byrd Automotive.The staff was exceptionally professional and went above and beyond to address my car's issues. The repairs were completed promptly, and my vehicle now runs like new. I highly recommend their expertise and customer-focused approach.

WARNING: to say these guys high-balled me is an understatement. They literally quoted me $1000 higher than I ended up paying at another shop. Byrd was able to knock off $400 when I told them the maximum worst case scenario the other shop quoted me. It's disappointing to say the least they had that much play in their prices, who knows how much they've been overcharging for other services. If you are determined to go to this shop you need to at the very least get a second opinion/quote!Update/Response to below: I find this response to be unhinged and unprofessional. I don't buy the "we do things the right way" excuse to overcharge someone by $1000. And what a joke to characterize someone questioning your quote or doing their due diligence as "him-hawing" Is the expectation for your customers to really just pay that high blindly? And by the way none of the details you mentioned below were explained to me on the phone or in person. Call me a keyboard warrior as much as you want, doesn't bother me. I understand this is your business, and I am not trying to be disrespectful, just trying to help other patrons. Also the shop I took it to which completed the service for <$600 is not a chain or a "shade tree mechanic" as you described, but is well established in the Houston area for over 40+ years, try another excuse.

They were super proactive and communicative during the assessment/sales cycle. They were neither proactive nor communicative after I approved the work they proposed doing. The actual work quality was good. The process was a bit frustrating and when I politely expressed that - the person I was working with got defensive.

I have been using Byrd Automotive for about 10 years and have found them to be honest, hard working and do what they say they will do. The quality of work has been good and on occasion when they can't reproduce an issue w/ car have waived the charges. Having the car washed is always a plus. I would recommend them for all car repairs.

Everyone is super nice, it’s in a nice quiet location, they offer discounts for AAA card holders and first responders, and have fair prices. Also, there’s a shop dog!! Her name is Honey and she’s so sweet and greets you when you come in. First time coming here and I think we found our shop we will use for all car needs.Service: Oil change

Tim (owner) and Glenn (manager) were a pleasure to work with, and explained everything in detail. Their shuttle service was immediately available, and the techs, Chris and TJ were great to chat with on the rides. Great shop - my A/C was fixed and coolant issues solved. ??

This place is unreal. They are very responsive and work hard to get it right. I brought my truck in because I hit a wall on the Hardy at 60 mph and it was a bit battered. I wanted to know if they could look it over and fix it up so that I could do the body work at my leisure. They did just that and did a lot of follow up work to get it right, even though obviously none of this was their fault - at no charge. Completely unnecessary but I greatly appreciated it. Took my 2016 Honda Odyssey with 187K miles for a maintenance check. The only issue I knew of was that the air conditioner was having trouble keeping up with the +100-degree heat but asked Byrd Automotive to check the entire vehicle. They performed the diagnostic tests, added freon, checked the A/C system for leaks and recommended flushing the coolant system and changing two radiator hoses. Looking back over my maintenance records, the cooling system had been flushed by another mechanic in May 2021 (61K miles ago) but the hoses had not been replaced. I appreciate Byrd making a simple fix to the A/C system and helping me to avoid a future problem that I had overlooked.
