Today my husband and I went into the compass bank near The Woodlands Parkway and Fm 2978. I had made a deposit at 2:53 (cash that posts immediately since the operate on real time). then I gave my landlord a check, to which they scanned about 4:15 pm. They returned the check and charged me $38.00. We went to the bank the next day, and they returned my $38.00 and admitted they were at fault because the ATM malfunctioned. This check also cost me $110.00 in fees to my landlord, not to mention embarrassment!! I asked the guy at compass bank if they would pay the fees since it was not my fault... he was extremely rude and told me I should keep a cushion in my account....(my husband had lost his job and we were getting back on our feet). I was embarrased and humiliated by his comments. After he made the comment the branch Mgr who was in the next office walked in, she was nice but the damage was already done!!! I am going to try and speak with someone sy the corporate office tomorrow.
