This is absolutely the best place in The Woodlands to get anything. The people are amazing. The prices are fair. They have a ton of options. Even if a few of their things are a little more than Home Depot or Lowes I go here because of how great the people are.

Ace Hardware is truly a standout when it comes to customer service. Every time I visit, the staff is incredibly helpful, always asking if they can assist and going above and beyond to ensure I find what I need. The store itself is perfectly split between hardware items and a fun gifts section, making it a great stop for the whole family. Whether you’re picking up tools or browsing for a unique gift, they’ve got something for everyone.

Five stars for excellent customer service and support! The staff at Alspaugh’s Ace Hardware of The Woodlands is always attentive and incredibly knowledgeable, helping you find exactly what you need. While prices might be higher than big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s, the convenience and personalized service make it well worth the difference. Alspaugh’s has become my go-to for most of my hardware needs!

this place is ridiculous, we went to purchase a weber grill, the model we were looking for was not in stock. they asked us to come back in a few days. followed up, after speaking to the sixth person at the store. no one would help, ended up paying full price and getting it the next day from amazon. it was hilarious how they had a group of staff with radios following me around the store.

Had a gas blower that needed a new pull cord.
I was working and had to get it fixed asap. Went into this Ace and was approached by a man named Philip I believe. He asked what I needed and I said a pull cord for a stihl blower.
He told me they didn’t carry stihl products. That they chose not to because they’re a pain in the ***.
Absolutely zero help. Figured they at least had some paracord or something. Found the lawnmower repair aisle and right there was a pull cord replacement.
Philip exhibited terrible customer service. Seemed upset I even brought up stihl and walked away without trying to help and told me to go to another ace. If I wasn’t desperate I would have and definitely will next time.

Every visit to Alspaugh Ace Hardware is a delight, thanks to their exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable staff. Whether I'm looking for a specific tool or need advice on a home improvement project, I can always count on their team to guide me with expertise and patience. The store is well-organized, making shopping both easy and efficient, and I'm consistently impressed with the convenience of parking and the speedy checkout process. It's truly reassuring to have such a reliable and friendly resource right in our community. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Ten (10) times I was asked by employees if I needed help. It became exhausting, bordering harassment. The Woodlands location is not a "browse" hardware store. They want you in and out fast. Every time I turned a corner I was asked, "Do you need help?" or "can I help you with anything?" I noticed one other customer who became like me, just a gruff "no."

I was in need of a push lawnmower and after seeing the downgrade of materials used by lawnmowers at a large store, I decided to go with a Toro, as the materials are much higher quality, including the cutting blade.The blade is even replaceable and able to be sharpened by Outdoor Equipment Outlet on W. Davis St. in Conroe, which is not the case with other brands these days. And I saw some lawnmower replacement wheels at Tractor Supply on 242…You do have to order online because they do not stock them in store. If you ask, ACE will deliver the lawnmower free of charge within 5 miles or further for a nominal mileage fee.Upon request, they will unbox it and attach the handle.They do not start it for you, or handle the gasoline for liability reasons, but if you have your own gasoline ready and add it yourself, they will wait and make sure it starts.The delivery person determined it was best to use the full container of provided oil, which was less than a quart.I do highly recommend using ACE Hardware, having to pick it up would have been a real pain.Delivery people were nice and helpful.If you use ethanol free, aka tortilla free ?, gasoline, which you can get one block north of W. Davis St., at Quik Trip gas station, the engine will not gunk up, even in long time periods without cranking the engine.Use ethanol free gasoline on all lawn equipment, even your Stihl pressure washer, so you don’t damage the carburetor. You can procure the pressure washer from Outdoor Equipment Outlet…
