I recently visited 18|8 in The Woodlands and was seriously impressed with the place and my stylist, Kim. This is a salon that knows how to make you feel at home right from the get-go.The atmosphere is pretty great – comfortable, yet with a classy feel to it. There's this relaxed vibe that puts you at ease, which is exactly what you want when you're about to get a haircut.Kim was a total pro. She made sure to clarify what I wanted before she started, which honestly gave me confidence that I was going to walk out of there happy. It's these little touches that make a big difference.And yep, the haircut was spot-on. It's like Kim took my words and transformed them into the perfect cut. She clearly knows her stuff and pays attention to the details.Another thing that made my time there enjoyable was the conversation with Kim. It wasn't just idle chatter, but genuinely engaging. She's really good at making a connection with her clients, which added to the overall positive experience.When it came to paying, it was as easy as it gets – no hassle or rigmarole. Dana Was fantastic! Great person, great Convo, and insanely talented!! She asked questions to understand and executed with precision and attention to details! She checked her work, styled me out after a hot towel and washing! Would give more than 5-stars if I could and will be referring all my friends and family. Below average. I get a better cut at Sports Clips. The idea was to indulge a bit but the stylist was not only mediocre but needed constant coaching and guidance to make the trim even on both sides. Not worth the money and definitely not worth the time.Service: Haircut

After moving here from SoCal I tried a few different stylists but was very disappointed. I decided to walk in at 18/8. My stylist was Annabel. She is an excellent scissor stylist. More and more stylists seem to use clippers which I hate. She is very professional and meticulous. I trusted her to modify my style and consistently receive great compliments! This was my first and last time here as a new customer. Was supposed to get, to my understanding, their basic haircut that was a haircut and style, shampoo, hot towel finish, the works. The stylist, Demetrius, never asked how short I wanted to go and cut it much shorter than I normally get. He Cut my hair then shampooed it, and asked me if I use any hair product which I said no. He then proceeded to use hair product, which is a telltale sign that it’s a bad haircut they have to put some product on to make it look good, he combed my hair, and that was it. No blow dry, no style, no neck trim, no hot towel, just walked out with wet hair. First and last time at this place.Service: Haircut

I have been exclusively going to 18/8 since I moved to the woodlands. The staff and the service is top tier. Lateesch has been my go to because she pays attention to detail and always makes sure I leave looking my best. I have tried other in the area but it just doesn’t compare.

To be honest, this was my first time using an upscale men's salon but it won't be my last. I usually just go to any barber that was available at any shop. Lateesch made this experience well worth my time. Her professionalism, personality and skill set was second to none. I not only found a new stylist but I also found a friend.
