FRAUD!!! COMPLETE SCAM!!! Chris Wolfe, owner, operator, and meChanticleer, quoted me $570, for parts and labor: power steering pump coil and 4 spark plugs Saturday October 1, 2022. He asked for payment for the parts and half labor up front so that he could buy the parts, which came to $445. I sent him $570, the full payment via Cash app, and scheduled the job for the next day. He fixed my car before abt a year ago and was reliable so I thought he was trustworthy and that would keep his word as he did previously, so I sent him full payment. However, the next day (Sunday October 2nd) he didn't show and I didn't hear from him-- so I texted him: he stated he was waiting on the part and that it should come that evening and that the part wasn't ordered so he had to order it again and apologized and that if the part arrives late, he'll come in the morning. Well, the next morning (Monday October 3rd) he didn't show and I didn't hear from him. I texted him Tuesday October 4th asking for an update-- he apologized stating his truck went down the day prior and that he had to tow it in. He stated he had the parts for my car, but was in the process of getting another truck until his is fixed and will be over to fix my car in the next day or so. Three days went by, I didn't hear from him so I reached out again for an update-- Friday morning October 7th he said he was getting his truck back up that day so he'll be over in the next day or two to fix my car. The weekend went by, I didn't hear from him. So Monday morning, October 10th, I sent two texts asking for an update, he finally responded stating he's supposed to have the parts for his truck today and be back on the road and that he lost a lot of money past few days...as if I didn't already pay him for work and beginning to feel like Ive been scammed and lost my money! Tuesday October 11th and Wednesday October 12th went by, I still haven't heard from him and my car still isn't fixed. I reached out Thursday October 13th asking for an update, he didn't respond. Friday October 14th still no response. At this point, I requested a refund. I reported this as fraud, and of course it's Monday October 17th, two weeks later and my car still isn't fixed, I don't have the parts, and Chris never responded or called me back and just completely stopped answering and responding-- just disappeared. I'm extremely disappointed that I was taken advantage of and had money stolen from me! Chris seemed like a nice, honest mechanic, but is a FRAUD and completely untrustworthy!!!

I called chris and he gave me a very fair quote, came out right away and got the job done in great time. I needed brakes, rotors, and a wheel bearing and he got it knocked out in no time. Chris Wolfe is a Thief. Jeep was overheating in Galveston. I had no tools, and no time, so I called this guy. He came out fairly promptly, plugged in diagnostics and said the "vent fan" was out. Next morning, he sent me a part price of $542. I went on line and checked local vendors, and the price checked out. Issue was, we venmo'd him money to purchase it, then, he discovered over 3 hours later, it was just a misgrounded wire causing the vent fan to malfunction. This took place on July 23/24 of 2022. He promised he would return the unused/unboxed vent fan and refund the money. I even paid him an extra $100 beyond his price for helping us on a Sunday in Galveston, and since then, he has ghosted us, kept our money, and guessing he took the part back too and got a refund. He took us for $542.00, in addition to the money he was refunded for the part, and now won't respond to calls, texts, anything. I even drove to his business address and texted him from there. He responded he would refund, while I was in his driveway and he conveniently wasn't there, by 8/4. It's now 8/9/22 and he's gone silent again. TOTAL CROOK! STAY AWAY FROM THIS THIEF. Filing theft report and not letting this go. What a con-artist! Total POS!
