We had two rooms here for an overnight before boarding a cruise out of Galveston the next morning. We are a family of 10, so we normally get two of the double bed plus pull out couch rooms for any one night stops on long drive trips.ProsThe staff was fabulous. Just sweet as tea & all had a lovely vibe of helpful & caring energy. The ice machine was broken & kitchen staff gave my kids ice from inside the kitchen to fill up their yetis. The breakfast area was super clean, very well taken care of & the ladies were cheerful. Front desk was perfect. They all do their jobs wonderfully & are not in the slightest but responsible for the cons.ConsFreaking DIRTY in the rooms. Dirty. I get turnover has to be swift. I truly understand that. But this? No. Not acceptable. The cleaners know if someone slept in the pull out. So to leave it this way? Makes zero sense. And it wasn't in one room. Both of them were filthy. The carpets are ancient. Rooms smell like mildew. Suspect curly hair around the base of the toilets.... it went on.If you're going to cruise tomorrow & you just need to eat & sleep, look at other places. I usually only stay at IHG properties because I'm a member. Next time I'll stay on island prior to cruising. Find another hotel. These rooms were one step above bedbugs.

The elevator was broken, phone service was spotty, and the TV wouldn't stay on for some reason. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

This hotel is by far the worst place that I ever stayed in. The bed was broken . If you sat down on one end the other would come up . How could you have a paying customer sleep on that bed . You can actually see where the bed is broken So who ever was cleaning should have saw this and reported it. We called maintenance and they said he would be up. After a while we called back, but he left for the day. So then the manager to fixIt . The manager came up and moved the bed over it was somewhat stable. Unfortunately, no other rooms available for the weekend . Not going to stay at this hotel again.

I just want to state that the workers there were okay. However I stayed for at least one night and somehow got charged an extra $34 when the room was supposed to be $128. From what I was told the extra $34 was from the snacks that was purchased from My brother that was with me which he used his own card to pay for but somehow it got charged to my my card. The lady at the front also had said that I couldn't get a refund for that $34 and requested my brother to pay me back but that doesn't make any sense because I would just be taking more money from him. They charged me extra for something I didn't pay for and my dispute got denied. Never coming back to any hotels like this one hope this helps.

Stayed with my family here for 5 days , we love the service! Everyone was so helpful. Robert from the front desk he went above and beyond for whatever we needed! And Bobbi at breakfast very nice and caring, so helpful and made sure everything was well stocked! Our rooms were clean and Housekeeping did a great job! Cleaned out rooms each day , and left it very clean. Overall this Hotel was the best Holiday Inn I ever stayed at! 5 stars! Will definetly be back soon! Thank u for making our vacation the greatest! Highly recommend?

I can not comment on the hotel room. I booked a room almost 3 months in advance for a vacation. Today, I was called and told my reservation was canceled for TOMORROW. No resolution was made, just “we over booked” how is my reservation made January 23rd canceled for being overbooked? Do not recommend at all!

My two family members and I stayed here for just one night but wish it could have been longer. Started out absolutely perfect right from the beginning with the desk clerk Fred. He was most professional and absolutely the most helpful and pleasant hotel employee I have ever encountered, I want to give Fred ten stars for his performance alone.Thank you feed

Stayed here multiple times over the years due to the ease of access to everything. This stay wasn't all that great. The downstairs was nice. But the carpet in the halls and rooms didn't seem vacuumed for quite some time. The room was just average. It definitely didn't feel very clean. The beds were very hard and the AC was too quiet for me.

Do not go here! They will scam you saying you booked 2 rooms and 2 different times but have the same confirmation # and the email with the confirmation # only shows 1 room! Now I have to pay double the cost because they refused to cancel the other room fee! I will be contacting corporate! Scam!!!!!

Great location before you take your cruiseVery firm beds, nice and clean. Great way to enjoy a night before you head out for debauchery of a cruise.Very nice reception and hard working employees

Breakfast was late every morning. 6am is opening time but had to wait everyday. Cleaning service was requested late in afternoon, night or early morning for midnight workers but did not receive.
