I came in as an emergency we just moved from out of state and I haven’t established a regular vet yet. My Great Dane was attacked by a fertile cat and has an infected wound, high fever and other symptoms. We waited about 2 hours as a walk in and left with antibiotics and steroids. I asked for liquid form because he wasn’t eating and was they can only give me the pills and if the fever gets worse or he gets worse I have to take him to emergency which is almost 2 hours away…. being it was a Friday. 24 hours later and little improvement. Not eating, difficulty getting up etc. I called the service and no dr on call…… I just feel like they could have tried to do more while we were there. Now I either drive 2 hours and spend a ton of money or pray he’s ok to wait until Monday. I understand it’s a business and we are one of many many patients but it just feels wrong.

On October 2nd and 3rd I was able to let go of the overwhelming emotions I felt when Dr. Burns offered for my Harley not to do as all dogs do, “Go to Heaven”. Dr. Burns compassion as a fellow veteran almost brought me to my knees when he offered a resolution to my need to put “Harley” to sleep only due to another individual in another state who had caused my handsome Labrador such trauma unknown at the time to me which took “Harley” back to the days before I rescued him from a “Lab Rescue” in the California Mojave Desert where he was found dumped as a young pup with just his bones shown through his skin. I am a US Veteran who was seeking to find relocation in the area and realized finding just temporary housing was so very difficult with not just my “Handsome Harley” but his sister “Beautiful Bailey”. My girl Bailey was also placed under the care of Dr. Burns who assured me repeatedly as only I needed both my service dogs who had rescued me repeatedly as I went through the horrendous side effects of self-tapering off the most lethal anti-anxiety drug named Clonazepam the USDVA Healthcare had prescribed for me negligently with only “Bailey and Harley” allowing me their protection as I literally prayed to God himself to stop the turmoil inside my mind self-tapering off a Class D Schedule 4 Black Box Warning Label drug. My “Bailey” was bought for $5.00 from what I found in San Ysidro, CA was a puppy mill. I still wonder today how such a little puppy could have so much dirt within her coat the day I brought her home and give her a bath. I must state Vice President Harris has been called upon by myself on more than one occasion when I have asked for her assistance as a 100% US Veteran in need of “Fair, Adequate, and Timely” healthcare and as I had always signed off “Your Veteran who “Happy Harley” and “Beautiful Bailey” still need rescuing from a broken system and I am still shocked today in how she stops her part of the world each and every time to help me in my part of the world. On the day I brought “Bailey” I was not only assured “Harley is happy and seemed to be dancing when he was allowed to go out an just play” but “Bailey is guaranteed the same rights as Harley received in placement within a loving family” I thank Dr. Burns for his wisdom and compassion he had in assisting me by personally guaranteeing my two beloved dogs would go to “Heaven on Earth” by his alone involvement in their individual placements in a caring loving family free from abuse by those who fail to understand what “DOG spelled backwards means… GOD”!

Fantastic people! They were busy but quick. I checked in then I watched. My first time here. When it comes to my girls, I pay close attention! The staff were knowledgeable, responsive and respectful. A real top notch crew is what I watched. Never seen a one get lost on anything. The team behind the desk is a well oiled machine. The doctor visited with me after examining my girl answering all my worried-dad questions. Very kind gentleman. Obviously well versed in his field. Bravo everyone! Bravo. Thank you for tending my girl so kindly.

We took our Chihuahua there due to a pancreatitis attack. After giving them the details over the phone, instead of telling us there is little hope, which we found out later is typically the case with our circumstances, they deceived us into thinking their was alot of reason for hope. So after the false hope was given to us we rushed him in. About 12 hours later we were told he passed away in the middle of night. When we picked him up there was no evidence that he had ever even had an IV installed and we know he would not have been consuming liquids normally and thus would have needed the IV to make it. Also we have serious reason to believe that noone even checked on him throughout the obvious precarious night he had. They told us they found out when they showed up that next morning. We paid the amount of $ that we were told it wound about cost at admittance and we understood it could go up or down since that was an estimate. So about 12 hours there and no evidence of treatment we we picked his body back up. Weeks later a bill came in which would double the cost from the estimate we were originally given. (Remember 12 hours and no evidence of treatment). Basically - we aren't snow flakes and could have handled the bad news that there was little hope but they chose the unethical path. Simply very disappointed in Westridge and I seriously question their integrity.

Got my cat, Sammy, right in to get him on a plane... legally with proper paperwork and also for his comfort. Could not have been more helpful.
