I stayed at Resident Inn Texarkana recently. This will now be my go-to place to stay when I travel home to Texarkana with my husband and toddler. The rooms are nice a roomy and had all the accommodations that I needed. I really appreciated the kitchen area and the friendly staff.

This was the absolute worst hotel experience I’ve had. $200 a night, the room was dirty… The bathroom had hair all over the floor showing they don’t sweep or mop, it was so much dirt in the corners of the bathroom, the toilet was dirty. The worst part was the dishes had food on them!! I took pictures. If that wasn’t enough, when I went to ask for more towels he gave me a stare and didn’t give me the amount I asked for, asked me to set my towels outside so they could pick them up, they never did, never came by my room to clean in the morning. My husband went down there to ask for a extra blanket and the man responded we don’t have any, my husband said y’all must be busy and the employee responded “nah people just keep coming down here with requests”… As if he were annoyed. Horrible service and a dirty room, for $200 a night? I should’ve left and went elsewhere but we didn’t get there until 4am and my children were exhausted. Next time I will just leave though.

If you have no alternative and decide to stay at this hotel, stay away from Room 101 or any room near the exits. Stayed at this hotel while driving cross country and ended up in what I thought was a convenient room near the exit and parking area (keeping an eye on my trailer) Well it turned out to be the worst night! The door was slammed until 2am and constantly again beginning at 5am. Sounds and feels like a sledgehammer hitting the headboard or worse, like a bomb going off..No exaggeration, I’m a bomb tech. Ants in the bathroom! No rest and no response from the hotel staff, i even messaged using the App (don’t waste your time, they do not respond) $170 wasted with no rest and now my driving day will be impacted.

Rooms were never cleaned, grill was always dirty, stove in our room didn’t work one one burner worked when it wanted too. Wi-Fi didn’t work most the time, lots of electrical issues, toilets were backed up, food/drinks in market were outrageously priced. Laundromat took money multiple times didn’t work, dryers must have been out not sure.. maybe it was just a bad experience but $169 a night and $20 a day deposit you would think the service would of at least been better…Rooms: Need more maintenance..

Front desk person was not friendly and on a personal phone call with earbuds in her ear. Hotel does not appear to have been fully renovated as stated in other reviews. Crumbs on the carpet, mold in the shower, carpet was very worn and stained. Clearly has not been deep cleaned with dirt on walls, seating area and doors.

Cattle was being herded all night in the room above mine. Weird truck stop motel vibe - hard to explain, just more a feeling.The shower had an odd clump of hair still attached. Random hairs throughout the rest of the restroom… A lot going on here, but none is four star. I’m disappointed in Marriott.I’m seriously thinking HHonors for next year…Oh yeah… the doorknob just fell off in my hand as I was opening the bedroom door! Whaaaaaat???I almost panicked thinking it’s a trap to keep you here another day!

Pet friendly hotel. Plenty of space to take animals outside. The room was very clean, bed comfy(loved the pillows),kitchenette was very clean and well organized. If you are traveling solo this is the place to stay. Plenty of lighting outside of the hotel and close to everything. Being a solo traveler I felt safe and that's the most important for me.

Great stay. Room wasn't fully stocked but the front desk staff are quick to get you what you need.Very peaceful stay and amazing room quality. Great choice for short or medium length stay.Also has a great fitness room!

It is a good hotel to stay, the rooms are neat and clean. The setup of the room is also pretty nice and the TV is big and in a new orientation from many of the hotels I have visited. The only thing to keep in mind is that sometimes the dishwasher makes beeps which could be a concern. But just keeping the dishwasher open would solve that issue.

I was in town to attend a family member's funeral. Ty in reservations was patient and provided excellent customer support that was beyond expectation. She also checked me in on my arrival and was very emphatic, expressed her condolences, and offered her support. I cannot thank her enough for being so kind and understanding.Noteworthy details: I can't say enough about Ty and her concern, professionalism, customer care, and patience. She made the difference for my stay. She should teach others about how to welcome guest. Thanks a million, Ty!

Went into breakfast in the morning deciding between 2 or 3 stars. Decided on 2 because of how disappointed I was with it.As for the rest…1. No lotion or hand soap in the bathroom? Weird.2. USED bar soap in the shower. So gross.3. Way too over priced for what you get - $266 for one night? Stayed at the Holiday inn in Texarkana for $120 a couple weeks ago and thought it was way better overall4. Gross stains in living room and couch coming apart5. Bathroom floor had a layer of gross film on it that I don’t think was intentional6. Very minimal lighting7. Two hairs next to the sink8. Maybe my biggest complaint- the floors and walls were SO THIN. I heard the people above me the whole night. I’ve stayed in 20+ hotels over the past couple years because we drive a lot. This one easily was the loudest. There was someone complaining to the front desk about it the next morning.This hotel was the only decent one available the night I went which is why I didn’t stay at the Hampton or holiday inn. Won’t make that mistake again

So the room was very clean and I was actually impressed. But the pool was closed because it hadn't been cleaned. In my room, the sink and tub didn't have stoppers, and the AC barely worked. The breakfast they served was very meek and not very welcoming, to say the least.

I sleep in this hotel more than my own home. It’s definitely the best place to stay in town. They’ve upgraded their rooms, internet, and TV’s recently. Ken at the front desk when we check in always makes me feel appreciated as a Titanium Marriott member. He accommodates and helps us out with whatever we need.
