Vino was the owner-manager and a very nice guy. He retired and went to Dallas. He is an Indian immigrant from India by way of Zimbabwe. He is in no way a rude person. General Supply is now owned by the Miller-Bowie Farmers' Association.

Shopped here a few times & love it. Convenient, easy to shop as a small, old school gen'l hardware store. Good stock for basic needs & surprising variety of add'l products. Overall great pricing, especially considering convenience. Pleasant, helpful, fun staff.

I called this True Value location today for some help with wood Screws. The Store Manger was so nice to me, he went out of his way to look for them immediately and told me all the different wood screw options. He went above an beyond to help me with what I needed asking me what kind of project it was and if I needed anything else at all, to call him personally, as I didn't realize he was the Manager/Owner. He took great care of me and even delivered the wood I needed! I see a lot of judgmental issues with the comment below, not believing a person named Vino can be an Owner? A Name doesn't make the person, it's their character. I know the person in the comment below saying Vino called him a "Dick" is totally false as he doesn't even curse being in his late 70's. He treated me with so much respect, went out of his way to deliver what I needed to my business, and all of his worker's said he is a great guy! Something you dont hear much with employee's these days, but I will be coming back to this location as it is a Local Mom & Pop's Store that has better prices than Ace Hardware, which I like as well.

Avoid this location at all costs! I called this True Value location today and the name of the store manager. The person that answered the phone said "why?'. So I asked again. The person that answered the phone said that there name was Vino and that they were the store manager. At this point I was thinking to myself, no way this is a store manager. I do not know why I did not just end the call immediately but I thought there must be some store manager that can help me. So I asked a third time for the manager's name and Vino hung up the phone. I called back a second time and someone different answered the phone so I asked for the name of the store manager. They call was then picked up by, you guessed it, Vino. I asked again the name of the store manager and Vino stated that he was the owner of the store. I told him he was rude and that I could never believe that a store owner would treat a customer like this. Vino called me a "dick" and hung up a second time. How they world this location stays in business is blowing my mind. I would give this location 0 stars is possible.
