Everyone I dealt with was as courteous and helpful as could be. We needed a engine replacement and a new radiator. When it was all said and done, the price was cheaper and finished faster than originally quoted. I would certainly recommend Ponders.

So I made this review on google but I downloaded this app to submit on her because is been two weeks from having my car "fixed." My car over heated and when I opened the hood there was antifreeze all over the engine. It looks worse than when I originally took it in. Now I'm stuck in a hard place because I almost paid them $2,000 and they did not fix my car. I can sum it up to the worse customer service experience I have ever experienced. I can understand if they run into problems that they don’t expect and it takes a little longer, but every time I called (everyday) they were short with me and would not tell me why it was taking longer then expected. They went $500 over the quoted price without talking to me for things they did not talk to me about. I was told it would be done by a Wednesday and everyday they said the next day until the following Tuesday so that makes them untrustworthy (without a reason why). I gave a family member my card to pay for it Friday so I can get it after work after they closed and they called her to tell her that they are going to keep it because they are not done at the time they closed. I had to take off work to go up there and talk to them and pay for it again for stuff I we did not agree on, and when I tried to question it the lady at the front just kept giving me the screw off smile and repeated “I can’t not release the car to you unless you pay.” In summary, because there was more, you will be over charged for they agreed price, not get the vehicle back at an appropriate time, and they will be disrespectful (and blame you for not completely there job). UPDATE: I just talked to them to see if they can help me because it is not drivable. They said it will be 2 weeks until they can look at it, they won't tow the car for me, and they will not give me the owners information because he is the only one that can make those calls (he's on vacation). This place is a nightmare.

Ponders was recommended to me by a friend. When I dropped my vehicle off, I made sure to let them know the assumed issue, and what I had already checked on the vehicle. They called me the same day, telling me my vehicle needed thousands of dollars of work. That work included things I had already checked on the vehicle. Because I had done so, I knew there was no issue with that specific part of my vehicle. I'm surprised, since I made sure to let them know when I dropped off the vehicle, but I don't think the receptionist relayed the message.

While on a family vacation, our car broke down 8 hours away from our home. Ponder's was the only shop in town (we called everyone) that could look at our car the same day. We were originally told after they ran some diagnostics that it could be a leak in the head gasket but they wanted to be sure before they gave an estimate to fix it. The next day they called first thing in the morning to give us news that it wasn't the head gasket but instead the coolant fan and thermostat. They had our car fixed the same day and had us on the way. I was explained in detail of all the tests that were completed and what each one showed and meant. I couldn't be more please with the service and personal touch that they had to ensure that we we able to get back home. Highly recommend this shop. If you are looking for integrity, knowledge, and a shop that truly cares about their customers, Ponder's is the place.

These people came highly recommend, but my experience was far from desirable. I took my truck in with two problems. Then I got it back with the same problems and more. My truck runs worse now then before I took it there. They got me for $1800 and I still need my truck fixed.

This is SUCH a long overdue review, as I've consistently had Mr. Ponder and his crew service and maintain my cars for about a decade and a half now, with my lastest being some battery terminal work and replacement they performed on my 2013 Mazda CX-5. I'm trying to get better at doing reviews and putting the good word out, especially for those that truly deserve it 10 folds. But these peeps haven't been around 16 years for nothing...y'all are hearing it from the horse's mouth this time. Mr. Ponder has consistently steered a tight ship in ensuring those that come around his way are served properly the first time, EVERY time. My wife can come here to get her car serviced and I can just kick back and/or go about my day wherever I'm at, knowing she's in good hands with Mr. Ponder's firm and straightforward, but sincere and down to earth mom and pop ways and they got her right from the get go. She recently had all her brake work done on her 2015 Honda CR-V for just $380 and some change, a repair and maintenance bill that would've EASILY ran anywhere between $450-500 pretty much anywhere else. Not to mention, the crew always tells it how it is right from the gate on what it is on any customer's car that needs fixing and what doesn't. But to cut straight to the chase on things, any automotive shop that's got emergency and fleet vehicles being serviced in is PROBABLY where the everyday driver should be taking their OWN vehicle to. Just a thought. But to anyone out there reading this that's in dire need of some PROPER service done at the RIGHT place, look no further than Ponder's Auto & Fleet.
