Love this place, but unfortunately it's currently closed until further notice. For those who want a good alternative to this dog park I would highly recommend Heritage Park over by Summer Fun Water park. It's like 12 minutes away and really nice.

Great green space with lots of different activities. There are baseball fields, jungle gyms, a dog park and nature trail to name a few.

Location is great. SIze is great. Lots of room... there are 2 big negatives, however....We were there on Sept 30, 2020. As other reviewers have said, no water. That was ok as I bring my own water...The BIGGEST NEGATIVE: FLEAS and TICKS!!!We used the large dog pen. It had not been mowed. There were no other dogs there when we arrived. Our dog came out LOADED with fleas!!We had to make an unexpected stop at WalMart for flea medicine, soap, etc and give her a shower when we got back to the hotel. If you don't have the time or place to treat your dog for fleas, don't use this park!!!!

The dog park was separated between large and small dogs and both sides had agility structures for dogs to practice on. Both sides have large open areas for dogs to sprint across. I went in the morning and there was only one other dog so perfect for us. The park made available poo bags but people need to pick up after their pet. Water was only available on one side. Overall not bad and we'll go back.

Cool park, out of the way but perfect for me to get a walk in while driving through texas. There wasnt many people there so it was kind of like having the park to myself. It looks like frisbee golf is a big deal here. They also had a dog park but I didn't check that out.

In my opinion, this is the worst location in the city park system to build a dog park. The Park is in a flood prone area. The park has been inundated with sewage at least twice in the past 5 years. Do you want your kids and pets around that? I don't. Complete waste of taxpayer money. Poor planning and insight by the city of Temple.

Brought one of my dogs to the dog park and it was super clean. Very well maintained and quiet. The park has grown a lot since I used to come hear a long time ago

I've gone to this dog park every few weeks or so for the last year and have learned a few things: 1) I've seen very few people/dogs their on weekdays (I've gone in the morning). If you want other dogs to play with there is usually a decent amount of folks/pups on Sat or Sunday at around 12:30pm or 1pm 2) It's SUPER muddy after a rain. Best to let the park dry out for several days before visiting 3) The agility equipment is fun. :) 4) Many people do not pick up after their dog, so there is a lot of p*** laying around 5) It's pretty common for at least one or more people to show up with unaltered dogs (this causes a lot of territorial/behavioral problems in other dogs). Please only bring spayed/neutered pets to the dog park! 6) On occasion, somebody will show up with a fearful/shy dog on a leash. This can also cause problems with other dogs- Please do not bring shy/fearful dogs to the park or keep your dog on a leash once inside the fenced area! If you want to walk your dog there are plenty of surrounding trails and fields to do so. :) I'm guessing 4,5, and 6 are due to people not knowing the rules and appropriate behavior at dog parks? Anyway, I'm glad there is a fenced dog park in Temple for canine socialization purposes, but please beware of the downsides and follow the park rules (they are posted next to the entrance).

Love the place, lots of space for the pups to run and play. But it's more often than not neglected by the city when it comes to keeping p*** bags supplied and the p*** bens emptied. As a result there is alot of p*** around so what your step.
