Tedd was absolutely incredible! He knew everything about the car we were interested in and was so personable and friendly! Although we went with another brand of car for cosmetic reasons, I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership and especially Tedd to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Find another place for service. We used Garlyn Shelton in Temple for a VW factory recall repair. When we arrived the first time we were told the car had to have less than 1/4 of a tank of gas - no one bothered to tell us that even tho I put in the comments section of the service request this was for a gas tank-related recall. We went back a week later, dropped the car off and received a call 1 1/2 hrs later from the service dept saying there were no parts on hand to do the repair and the car would need to stay there another day. I spoke to the service manager but only got the standard, canned comments that he would “look into things”. When we picked up the car I found that the tire rotation I had requested hadn’t been done the correct way - they simply swapped the LF tire for the LR tire and the same for the right side ( a simple Google search shows the correct way, something this dealership ought to know). I know the tires weren’t rotated correctly because I marked each tire before we brought the car there, suspecting they might not do it right. Since this was a factory recall I chose to bring it to Garlyn Shelton - never again. I’ll go back to much better and far more reliable places that can be found in Killeen on highway 14 that specialize in Euro car service.

While driving this morning, a few days after a software update, the check engine light came on and we got the message below. I drove without an appointment to the service department where Ms Amiee Hunter worked our car in to solve this problem. Thank you so much!

This dealership is the best one I've been to. I think because it's a little out of the way of the main highway, it's got better deals and even better customer service. John is a great salesman, and I absolutely loved Bobby, the numbers guy. If you're looking for a new car, I'd definitely recommend coming to this one before you check anywhere else. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer.

I NEVER write bad reviews but I have had nothing but issues with the Garlyn VW in Temple and their customer service for the past eight months.
To start, Damian sold me my car in December 2023 and at that time the rear view mirror had broken off from the previous owner. However, he promised that the part had already been ordered and that the dealership would cover the cost of having it replaced with a brand new one as soon as possible. I understand that foreign parts can be back ordered so I waited (4 months) until March of 2024 to reach back out again when I hadn’t heard back if the part had been ready. The man in the service department told me that there was no record of the part being ordered at all back in December but that he would place an order for a new one then! Fast forward (3 more months) to June of 2024 when I reached back out to the dealership to see if the part had come in. It hadn’t. Once again there was no record of the part being ordered but the nice man promised that he would personally place it himself this time. Within a week I got an email saying that the part had arrived! I scheduled the soonest appointment that they had and went on the morning of July 15th. I waited at the dealership for over 3 hours only to be told that the rear view mirror that they ordered was the wrong one and that there was nothing that they could do for me until the new mirror arrived. Exactly one week later I got another email that the new mirror had arrived and I scheduled my appointment immediately! I get to my appointment today (July 22nd) and I am told that even though I have an appointment, and that my parts are in, they were unable to work on my car because they were over booked and they suggested that I reschedule my appointment in August. I don’t even have an issue with the staff because everyone is friendly but it’s just frustrating that nothing seems to be getting done and I keep getting put off.
Not only is it a safety hazard not having not having a rear view mirror, but it’s also illegal. I have now been waiting for 9 months, taken time off of work multiple times, and driven an hour commute three separate times just to be let down every single time.

Recently bought a new Volvo XC60 at Garlyn Shelton. I bypassed returning to the Volvo dealership nearest me (Mears Volvo) due to the after-the-sale-service being very poor. Johnathan was my salesman and he was great. No pressure--he just helped me come to the decision that I did want to buy another Volvo. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Financing was a breeze! Highly recommend!
