Friendly locals, lots of surfing, the boats are so close by. We were there on a red flag, off season and it was lovely place.

This was a fun place to spend the day with my family. The beach was well maintained. I walked to the end of the jetty with my son and grandson. I enjoyed watching a working dredge and a big ship being turned around by a tugboat.
The men’s bathroom was not clean. The floor was wet and it wasn’t just water.

Weekdays are less crowded, clean, and convenient. A safe park with plenty of parking.

Overall good. It is adjacent to the parking lot and restroom. There is a playground for kids. The place is a bit crowded in the weekend afternoons. There are only 2 shaded areas with picnic table and bench now. I wish they had added a few more.

Playground: The whole area is a playground by nature
Toilets: Restroom area is cool, has lighting and convenient for a traveler
Dog-friendliness: If suggest keeping dog on leash with others around, however, when no one is there, let em rip! Probably better to go a few steps down and let em run on the beach... It's at the base of the Jetty
Picnic area: There's an area with a small outdoor grill... I'm sure you could bring your own and create the atmosphere you desire.... I've grilled there many times camping out while fishing
