“I didn't realize they were about to close early this past Sunday and I had personally not paid attention to the time after I had gotten off of work which was totally on me but the workers allowed me to get these garlic stuffed olives real quick because I had been craving them for weeks and they had not had them in stock so once I saw them in stock I grabbed them real quickly and left the store obviously paying for them too haha
The workers behind the counter were very sweet and understanding and I hope I didn't annoy them too much.”
“Went to Wine For The People for the first time last night. It won't be the last. Excellent wines, tasty bites, paired with warm and welcoming employees. Look forward to returning soon. Cheers!”
“Friends & Fidos visit Buda and Proof Deli came through with magnificent sandwiches on Good Friday! The hot Reuben was fabulous, the Dali Lama was so delicious especially on Good Friday (!) and the Smoking Bird was out of this world. The doggies were treated to water and felt especially welcomed; the weather made the event quite memorable!”
“I stopped in today because of the really good reviews I've read, and I have to say, it was worth it.
Great store picks, good high-end juice at reasonable prices, and the folks working were very helpful. I didn't stop in for high end stouts, but when I asked about it the manager brought out a box of really nice choices at prices that left me no choice but to grab a bunch of them.
? worth stopping by.”
“Going to start exclusively shopping here for liquor. Can’t speak highly enough about the selection and service I’ve received here. 11/10 experience.
Even though it’s a 40 minute drive to here from north of Austin, it’s completely worth it. First off, they have an amazing selection of agave spirits, including tequila, mezcal, and raicilla. They have an even larger selection of whiskey/bourbon.
And the bottles they carry are not just your big name brands like the chain liquor stores have - they have lots of the quality, small batch and hard to find bottles. The most respectable aspect is that they do not price gouge like other stores will. If they have a rare or popular bottle, they sell it at the MSRP price. Thats hard to come by these days.
And if you’re on the hunt for something in particular, just ask them! They’ve been exceptionally helpful! 3 times now I’ve asked them about particular, limited release bottles and all 3 times they’ve had them at their warehouse. They will usually retrieve them and have it reserved behind the counter for me that same day or the next at latest. They get 6/5 stars from me. Love this place.”
“We recently attended a convention in Austin - South Lamar Manager William and Staffer Miles were incredibly helpful with our huge order before we arrived, during and after the convention. They were helped with its delivery to our hotel and with the return of unopened items. Their service and hospitality were professional, friendly and top-notch. When we visit Austin again South Lamar Liquor will surely be one of our stops!”
“Love the snack and drink selection here! I finally tried their Indian food. I got the kofta korma w lamb and it's VERY GOOD. I don't love that it's so much rice and not as much of the korma but most places do that. Wish they were a bit friendlier but whatever, not the biggest deal. YUM”

312 Congress Ave., Austin“Nice little touristy stop. Lots of cool memorabilia, a couple dozen retro arcade/pinball machines and a few stations of old school Sega/Nintendo/PS consoles hooked up to tube style TVs. We had a lot of fun doing the scavenger hunt. It's a nice affordable stop for a couple hours of fun. The young woman working the front of house was very welcoming and funny.I was there in late January during a weekday, so definitely not peak tourist time. It's a fun stop, but not a "can't miss" sort of thing so I wouldn't recommend waiting to get in if it's busy.”

“I was so excited for my husband to receive his basket for his birthday yesterday. The basket arrived as promised with all of the yummy goodies I choose. Did not disappoint! He was so thrilled with the basket but the one thing he complimented on was how the chocolates were not melted. Great job and I will order again!”
“Great selection of local favorites and harder to find stuff. Considering its size, this store punches well above its weight in terms of selection and convenience.”

“Tons of great Japanese liquor choices! They occasionally have Hibiki and Yamazaki.
You can even find strong zero here!!! (-196 as it's called here)”
“Great little shop with a huge selection of goods. Every time we are in town we visit this shop. The staff is always polite, and helpful. The locatin of this shop is perfect, we stop at this shop to avoid going to a busier less clean typical convenience store. I don't have a problem going out of my way to stop at this location, It is a much better shopping experience and I'm always in and out in a matter of minutes, plus it's one of the cleanest stores I've been in.”
“Stopped in from out of town and met the owner and super nice and they have the hard to find bottles and their SP’s are amazing! Their ER SP is so smooth it’s unbelievable. A must stop!”
“This is a great little independent liquor store. They have a nice variety and selection of mixtures, wines, and spirits, as well as beer. If there is something that you were looking for that, they do not have in stock they will happily order it for you. If you get them the information about what it is you’re looking for. They also sell cigarettes and lotto scratchers, making them a convenient one stop shop for all of your vices.?.”
“Don't let the store size fool you. Their whiskey lineup exceeds expectations; they offer more selections than Specs.
Owner was very accommodating and went above and beyond with immediate assistance and service.”

4301 W William Cannon Dr Ste A-200, Austin“Great service, and prices are about the best I've seen for a lot of things in the area. Recommendations are also almost always spot-on. As an introvert, I appreciate that I don't feel pressured to engage if I don't want to. Highly recommend!”
“A lot more than meets the eye with a huge selection of craft beverages, bougie treats, and a friendly staff. I came in here bleary eyed after a morning workout for a canned coffee and was super impressed by the offerings, so much so that I've made a point to come back with friends to buy drinks for our weekend.”
“Cute market with an upscale high quality selection of goods. The prices are higher than a grocery store or pharmacy. They have a deli with salads and pastries as well as a coffee bar.”

1901 W William Cannon Dr ste 165-b, Austin“What has impressed me the most is the friendliness of this liquor store and market! They have local artisan gifts, cute displays, delicious local cheeses and sandwich deli options. I try to make it weekly here for the fig, bacon and goat cheese, made by Jenna. The packaged goat & sheep cheese is also pretty good. So many wine choices in this shop. I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out.”

1948 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin“I had something happen to me that has never happened to me before, and that was that I bought a bottle of whisky without fully inspecting it and when I got home, I noticed that the seal was broken. When I called and explained my situation, they gladly replaced the bottle! I was really worried I would be screwed. Great service!”
“Always a good experience at the Oakhill location. Reid, Jack, and Teo are attentive, and are very informative about their products.
Excellent customer service. Highly recommended.”

512 W 6th St, Austin“Great shop looks like heaven for wine drinkers and buyers, I found lots of stuff I wanted. Had to give 4 stars because I only had my Amex and me so I had to pay cash and I could only get the gift I came for not all the other stuff.
Make sure you have a card other than AMEX or cash.”
“Great total wine. Normal, unbeatable prices + abnormally kind staff. My dog was greeted with a treat by 5 different employees last week. He was stoked. I am stoked when he is stoked.”
