“I didn't realize they were about to close early this past Sunday and I had personally not paid attention to the time after I had gotten off of work which was totally on me but the workers allowed me to get these garlic stuffed olives real quick because I had been craving them for weeks and they had not had them in stock so once I saw them in stock I grabbed them real quickly and left the store obviously paying for them too haha
The workers behind the counter were very sweet and understanding and I hope I didn't annoy them too much.”

“Friends & Fidos visit Buda and Proof Deli came through with magnificent sandwiches on Good Friday! The hot Reuben was fabulous, the Dali Lama was so delicious especially on Good Friday (!) and the Smoking Bird was out of this world. The doggies were treated to water and felt especially welcomed; the weather made the event quite memorable!”

Great store picks, good high-end juice at reasonable prices, and the folks working were very helpful. I didn't stop in for high end stouts, but when I asked about it the manager brought out a box of really nice choices at prices that left me no choice but to grab a bunch of them.

“Going to start exclusively shopping here for liquor. Can’t speak highly enough about the selection and service I’ve received here. 11/10 experience.
Even though it’s a 40 minute drive to here from north of Austin, it’s completely worth it. First off, they have an amazing selection of agave spirits, including tequila, mezcal, and raicilla. They have an even larger selection of whiskey/bourbon.
And the bottles they carry are not just your big name brands like the chain liquor stores have - they have lots of the quality, small batch and hard to find bottles. The most respectable aspect is that they do not price gouge like other stores will. If they have a rare or popular bottle, they sell it at the MSRP price. Thats hard to come by these days.
And if you’re on the hunt for something in particular, just ask them! They’ve been exceptionally helpful! 3 times now I’ve asked them about particular, limited release bottles and all 3 times they’ve had them at their warehouse. They will usually retrieve them and have it reserved behind the counter for me that same day or the next at latest. They get 6/5 stars from me. Love this place.”
“We recently attended a convention in Austin - South Lamar Manager William and Staffer Miles were incredibly helpful with our huge order before we arrived, during and after the convention. They were helped with its delivery to our hotel and with the return of unopened items. Their service and hospitality were professional, friendly and top-notch. When we visit Austin again South Lamar Liquor will surely be one of our stops!”
“Love the snack and drink selection here! I finally tried their Indian food. I got the kofta korma w lamb and it's VERY GOOD. I don't love that it's so much rice and not as much of the korma but most places do that. Wish they were a bit friendlier but whatever, not the biggest deal. YUM”

“Nice little touristy stop. Lots of cool memorabilia, a couple dozen retro arcade/pinball machines and a few stations of old school Sega/Nintendo/PS consoles hooked up to tube style TVs. We had a lot of fun doing the scavenger hunt. It's a nice affordable stop for a couple hours of fun. The young woman working the front of house was very welcoming and funny.I was there in late January during a weekday, so definitely not peak tourist time. It's a fun stop, but not a "can't miss" sort of thing so I wouldn't recommend waiting to get in if it's busy.”

“Great little shop with a huge selection of goods. Every time we are in town we visit this shop. The staff is always polite, and helpful. The locatin of this shop is perfect, we stop at this shop to avoid going to a busier less clean typical convenience store. I don't have a problem going out of my way to stop at this location, It is a much better shopping experience and I'm always in and out in a matter of minutes, plus it's one of the cleanest stores I've been in.”

“I had something happen to me that has never happened to me before, and that was that I bought a bottle of whisky without fully inspecting it and when I got home, I noticed that the seal was broken. When I called and explained my situation, they gladly replaced the bottle! I was really worried I would be screwed. Great service!”
