My baby Bandit became suddenly very sick Christmas Eve 2023, the next morning on Christmas Day I rushed him to this Emergency clinic because my Vet was closed. The staff was wonderful, especially the Lady Doctor (I think her name was Devan), she knew how sick he was (viral pneumonia) & how upset I was. We spent 4 hours there while they stabilized him & was ready to go home to see my Vet the next morning. I cannot thank all of the people who saved my baby & will be forever grateful. I would definitely recommend Sugarland 24 hour Vet emergency care to anyone. 10 star facility & staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We visited Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists because we were deeply concerned about our senior dog's health. At the time, we had convinced ourself to make the decision of putting our beloved companion down and had even scheduled an at-home euthanization. Seeking professional advice, we opted to take our dog to the clinic as his condition had visibly worsened. We were looking for guidance to help us navigate through the difficult decision-making process before saying our final goodbye. Unfortunately, our experience at the clinic left us feeling disheartened. It wasn't communicated to us initially that we wouldn't be allowed to be with our dog during the examination, which left us feeling uneasy. The staff seemed less attentive to our concerns, and pushed for additional services such as overnight stays, blood work, and x-rays. (We are not stating that they encouraged or forced us to do additional services, it was how it was perceived) While we are fully aware of the importance of running tests for a better understanding of our dog's health, it felt unnecessary given our dog's deteriorating condition. It was disappointing to invest in a visit with the expectation of gaining valuable insights or guidance only to find the experience lacking in the essential elements of information sharing, examination, and professional recommendations. We made the decision to take him home before reaching a decision. Sadly, less than 24 hours, our sweet dog passed away. Our overall impression of this clinic is based on communication and a lack of straightforwardness regarding our options. I sincerely hope that others facing a similar situation receive more empathetic and transparent support for their beloved pets.

I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion provided by Sugarland Vet Clinic during one of the most difficult times of my life. When I had to make the heart-wrenching decision to euthanize my beloved cat, the team at Sugarland Vet Clinic went above and beyond to support me every step of the way. From the moment I walked through their doors, I was met with empathy and understanding. The staff treated my cat and me with the utmost respect and kindness, making an incredibly painful experience just a little bit easier to bear. The doctors at Sugarland Vet Clinic were exceptional in their expertise and communication. They took the time to thoroughly explain my cat's medical condition and the best plan of action moving forward. Their clear explanations and compassionate approach helped me feel confident in the decisions I had to make for my furry friend. One of the things that truly touched my heart was how they handled my cat's remains. They respectfully stored his body for a couple of days, allowing me the time I needed to process my emotions and decide on the best arrangements. This gesture of understanding and patience meant the world to me during such a difficult time. Kourtney was ABSOLUTELY amazing and even took pictures of my fur baby since I couldn't bear to see him after he passed.Overall, I cannot recommend Sugarland Vet Clinic highly enough. Their professionalism, empathy, and genuine care for both pets and their owners set them apart as an exceptional veterinary clinic. Thank you, Sugarland Vet Clinic, for your unwavering support and compassion during a challenging time.

Had a consultation with Dr. Novasad and his nurse, Christina. They were both very knowledgeable and great with our dog following a mast cell tumor diagnosis. We are currently considering surgery. They seem top notch and it was a very positive experience.

My yellow lab has been to Sugarland Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care for 3 medical issues. Every time, we have been very pleased with the care she received. The internal medicine and surgery teams have been outstanding. I would recommend Sugarland Vet to anyone.

We are very please with the surgery and care given to our 10-year old Cavvie. The staff is superb, explaining with a demonstration the surgery process. We were also given a tour of their operating facility and their lab.

They saw us on a Saturday morning with a sick cat. They triaged and assessed him right away due to his symptoms. I was very impressed and relieved by the care provided. Highly recommend.

Took my dog in cause he wasn’t keeping anything down and we were concerned with him being dehydrated. Waited 3 hours only saw the tech to get his history after two hours of waiting. Our poor dog was never offered water or an IV. We left before seeing the vet came home and he went straight to the bowl put poor baby was so thirsty. I would rather drive an hour somewhere else before I come back here.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TRUST ME.

Not really sure why the receptionist hasn’t been fired. She is so rude and clearly has no customer service skills.

Highly recomend Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists! They are really professional and they care animals very well also owner too.Even tiny single questions they do response. They took their time even during busy. They are really working hard for animals.I totally trust them. I can’t say thank you enough.I’m glad I could find this vet for my baby.Special thank you for Dr. Novosad and oncology staffs Dr. Christina, kimbely. and Dr.bubenik who took her time for my baby and me for explain even she was busy.I had to move to another state I was very worried about having to leave them and take my baby to another hospital. When I had a problem with my baby in another state, I trusted sugarland staffs so I contacted them. I am very grateful that they got back in touch with me even though I had left Texas. I will never forget them for the rest of my life. Thank you so much from bottom of my heart

The vets are fine but the managers are not professional or responsive. My dog coded during staging and l paid 1300 for the code then took her elsewhere to be staged without sedation. Then my dog had surgery and her surgery site opened and another 2600 and numerous trips and bills for bandage changes. Management refused to discount any services. I have spent close to 7500 and am disabled along with being a cancer survivor snd a medical professional.I have had at least twenty pets in my lifetime but after this question if l will be able to share my compassion with another furry friend.

Very difficult to work with and not experienced enough with cats to be treating cats. It has been impossible to get records from them as well. Outrageously priced especially considering they are rude, unresponsive, and not skilled with cats. Maybe this is a good place to take a dog, but absolutely do not bring your cat here. I would expect at least a friendly attitude, but service with a snarl is definitely how I would describe attempting to get care here. it's so hard to have a cat with a treatable and urgent illness and this place treats it with zero urgency and has no respect for the fact they have repeatedly traumatize my poor sick cat by just being uneducated and uncaring in how they handle him.Edit: It's all in the response. Contact our general contact information again so we can promise you a call back you will never get and get more bad attitude and negativity. If AN INDIVIDUAL PERSON actually feels they should take responsibility for the practices here feel free to use your records to contact me, but I have no interest in begging at a place where I have spent nearly $10K

I give this place a five-star because they were all so nice and understanding starting from the front desk staff all the way to the room where I was waiting for my fuzzy baby sadly she passed away today, but those moments of comfort & understanding it was there, thank you for everything you tried to help & were very sweet
