I need to report the Sugarland TX franchise of the company for bad/scammy practices. The contact person Anisa gave me a contract and told me verbally there were no other hidden charges other than the 3 hours the movers would take (plus gas). But then I get charged 45 mins for the drivers to reach my place and to go home. What kind of scam is this? Don't you use GPS tracking to see if they were doing a "scenic" drive? A simple google maps check will see that it takes 20-25 mins max. each way.
I had a choice of 4 other movers, but unfortunately picked your company.
I had already moved a lot of my stuff and the movers had only a studio worth of stuff to take, but 3 of them took close to 2 hours!!! One of them was a trainee and wasn't even interested in doing any work.
The movers didn't bring any tools to my apartment and spent so much time walking a full bed frame 4 floors down to the truck. At the house, I gave them a drill with bit set and other tools, which helped expedite the process. But they took the tools and to this day I've never got it back.
I contacted the office several times and spoke to Anisa and Heather about this, but they never got back to me or find a resolution. They don't even know where my tools went. They just charged me for 4.5 hours without trying to find a resolution.
I would never want anyone I know working with this franchise. They are scammy and don't deserve any work.
PS - They will say it's all on the contract, but you can never open the link to the contract after signing it because they don't want you to see their scammy practices.

Be careful with this company and the estimate they give you. They used some very shady business practices to increase the billing time. The office staff was not helpful and the manager only made excuses, denied the problem and refused to refund the over charge. Save yourself the frustration and find a honest company.

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND‼️ IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS, I WOULD.
I booked with Two men and a truck in Houston for a move last week, after having an excellent experience with their New Orleans location.
The move started off well. They sent 4 men and they worked quickly and efficiently. After they started to unload the truck at the drop off location, I noticed ALL OF THE BOXES WERE WET! It rained on and off for about an hour while they were loading the truck. When I walked inside the truck, I could see all of the water on the floor.
I immediately contacted the company; the workers did not attempt to rectify the situation at all. After multiple phone calls, they finally sent out their operations manager, Tory. We waited almost over 1.5hrs for him to arrive.
I had to REPACK EVERY SINGLE BOX before they could be moved into the storage unit.
Additionally, I asked one of the workers to remove the cardboard from the bottom of each of my bookshelves, so that they would not become damaged over time while in storage. HE REFUSED. He said he’s not required to do it because this is a storage unit.
When Tory arrived he told me that management was ALREADY AWARE OF THE ISSUES WITH THE TRUCK AND THE LEAKING. He DID NOT offer an apology, nor did he do anything to rectify the situation. He said “I’m here to protect the team! I’m here to protect my guys!”
I contacted the company again and they forwarded me to the manager, Reggie. He did not answer. At this point, I have called 4 times and left a voicemail. MANAGEMENT STILL HAS NOT CONTACTED ME TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION.
I AM DISGUSTED BY THIS MOVING COMPANY. To be aware of issues with your truck and send it out anyway knowing that damages could have been more severe shows a complete lack of care for your customers and I am appalled.

Greg and his team helped me move apartments last week. They were on time, cordial, and worked hard to make the move as fast and easy as possible. The came in and broke down my bed frame and rebuilt it in the new place. Just an overall good experience. This is my second time moving with Two Men and a Truck and I can’t imagine going somewhere else. Thanks.

I contacted this service because I saw the great reviews. When quoting your service you provide an inventory of items. Granted, I had more boxes than expected. The movers called at 9 saying they were an half hour away and arrived within their window at 9:30. They said they had a hard time parking and came up to my apartment at 10. They saw the number of boxes and told me it was more than the inventory but that I was very organized so they would take care of it. I added 10 to the inventory, I believe, and purchased 40 in varying sizes so nothing would be too heavy. In hindsight maybe I should have done 10xl to fit within the quote. To mitigate this, my friend decided to help them unload the additional boxes and some furniture.
On the initial visit to the apartment, they hadn’t brought Dollies so they each grabbed a couple boxes to either take to the truck or stage by the elevator. They didn’t return until 10:30 and that’s when the move finally started. I’ve moved many times and they didn’t seem to be as strong as my prior movers but they stayed busy so I had no complaints. My complaint comes with the bill at the end. I made this move with the exact same items last year and it took 3.5 hours. The distance on last years move was 2 miles and this time it was 20 so I expected more time. Also, my apartment elevator isn’t the fastest so I was thinking total move would take 5 hours. When all was said and done, I was told by Duke that the time starts when they called me at 9 to say they’re on their way making our total 7 hours. That just doesn’t seem right. I contacted Fernanda Bailey who was very responsive in the quote and deposit process but I have been ghosted. My 1 bedroom apartment move cost $1,100. Last year, I paid half this for moving the same pieces.
Do yourself a favor and choose 3 men movers. They come with strong men and are a bit more per hour, but the time saved is huge. A neighbor used them at the same time I was moving, and her apartment was cleared at least an hour before mine was.

Worst customer service ever. Please do yourself a big favor and DO NOT use. Movers showed up to my house and refused to work, dropping the F-bomb when speaking with supervisors. Crew was "on strike' until more help arrived. They finally moved a few items from the garage only. They charged me for the full 2 hour move and I still had to hire another full move with 3 Men Movers the next day (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and had to basically pay for 2 full moves. The "supervisor" and scheduler (phone customer service) person never apologized, but did give a small refund, but not enough to justify charging me for a full move when I had to schedule another company and pay for another full move the next day. PLEASE DO NOT use the location out of Stafford, TX. If you do, it will be a cluster!

The person that took my reservation got both my address and phone number wrong that caused approximately a 3.5 hr delay. The move team once they got there were very professional and top notch.

Please beware of the practice of asking for a "gratuity" from crews on day of job. This topic IS NOT included in your initial quote. This IS NOT an accepted practice by their management but has now occurred with my job as well as someone I referred to them.
If you choose this company---tell the crew that you will need to speak to the front office BEFORE agreeing to a gratuity. Being blindsided with this the day of a move is just another thing to deal with. In addition, they had me pay for an extra 45 minutes for the crew to eat and get gas. (I was the first trip of the day---should have filled up on their dime---not mine!)
And finally, they forgot some items (that were included on the initial quote) that a family member drove the 30 miles to deliver to me personally. I would not recommend this company as there are many options in the Houston area that do not have crews choosing to ask for a "tip" as you are signing the papers.
You have been warned!
