Terrible experience!!
I wanted to try out a new doctor after my longtime PCP stopped accepting our insurance. The front desk staff was nice and the office was nice and clean as well. I was told I couldn’t book a physical/pap smear for my first visit, I had to been seen for a sick visit or “general” visit first. They do this because physicals and yearly well checks are covered by your insurance, so there’s no office co-pay. I cringed, but I went ahead and came in.
At my visit, Dr. Siddiqui was nice and calm, but she seemed like she was trying to find additional things to charge me for. For example, I mentioned slight chest discomfort from time to time and she immediately suggested an in office EKG ($$$), but after asking a few more questions she could easily see why it wasn’t necessary. But she kept asking me if there was anything else “going on” then told me she needed a “reason” for the visit. I still have no idea what she made up to justify the visit, but she told me they could do the bloodwork for my physical that day, and at my follow up the following week ($$$) we would go over the results and do my papsmear. Wrong!
I show up the following week for my pap and to go over the results (which were fine because I saw them in the portal already) and she tells me she has no time to do the Pap that day. WHAT? You charged me a $40 copay to read my lab results? I didn’t complain, I said ok and decided I would not return because it was shady. She called me 30 minutes later PERSONALLY to tell me she wanted to ask her office manager to refund me the copay, but then tried to gaslight me as if it was my fault. “Next time you’ll want to know exactly what you’re coming in for…just make sure because this is a one time courtesy.” I didn’t call them, I didn’t even complain…she knew she was wrong and she was trying to cover her behind before I called to complain. I had already decided not to go back and canceled my upcoming pap visit after my experience. She called me 6 days later on a Sunday night at 6:30pm to ask about a small detail on my chart about what age my father was when he was diagnosed with cancer. What?? It’s Sunday! And she can see I cancelled my future appointments, so why call me? Another random temperature check to see if I was going to file a complaint on her.
I lost all confidence in their office and I’ve never seen anything shady like this. Strange and no thank you.

A bit hard to reach someone over the phone sometimes, but overall I enjoy coming to this clinic, everybody seems very nice and I absolutely adore Dr. Siddiqui! We have been having trouble with my dad’s Medicare options and she has been an absolute angel, super understanding and tries her best to help us out.

Dr. Nevel is great, by all means - she’s the only reason why I still go to this place.
What’s the point of having an appointment if you don’t get seen until a hour later from your scheduled time? It wasn’t even busy at the time of my appointment. It’s impossible to get a call back from this place, they never answer the phone or call you back, even after I left a long detailed message.

Terrible experience that has turned into a months long drama and paperwork all due to billing code errors on an annual physical visit. I can’t get anyone from the office to respond or correct. I’m hoping that by posting this someone reaches out.
If you are considering visiting this clinic, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
UPDATE: I am still waiting on a call back from Melissa. If you are considering this clinic, PLEASE read the other reviews. My situation does not appear to be unique. This seems to be an ongoing issue.
UPDATE 2: It is now nearly 10 months out from my appointment and this is still not resolved. Still waiting to hear back from the Practice Manager to see if the billing codes were corrected.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Windrose Family Medicine. I recently moved to the area and scheduled an appointment here, specifically requesting that my medical records be transferred from my previous clinic because I urgently needed medication. I made it crystal clear when booking the appointment that this medication was the reason I needed to be seen.
After waiting a week for the appointment and going through the hassle of transferring my medical records, I arrived only to be told that this clinic does not prescribe the medication I need. Apparently, the receptionist was supposed to inform me of this when I scheduled the appointment, but that never happened. As a result, I was left without the medication I desperately needed, with no recommendations on where to go next, and was essentially told to leave.
To make matters worse, DR. FRANCISCO VERA refused to see me for other concerns I had because he was “too busy.” The complete lack of communication and care from the staff is unacceptable. I wasted a week waiting for this appointment, transferred my medical records, and received absolutely no help. This clinic showed no remorse or concern for my situation. I strongly advise others to avoid this place if you need reliable care and proper communication.

Dr Mazzei is fantastic! She is patient, understanding and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable discussing my medical issues with her, especially since in the past I did not want to go to a doctor unless absolutely necessary. I actually drive across Houston to see her, that’s how highly I regard her and the excellent job she does.

I went in for a routine check up and I am one who has white coat syndrome. But they made me feel so welcomed and did not overwhelm me. Michelle is who walked me back and made me feel very comfortable and was absolutely the best Nurse anyone could ask for understanding how I felt about dr offices. Dr. Never was absolutely amazing, very thorough and from what I have seen I like her approach on things. Highly recommended
