My husband signed us up for a gym membership here. So a couple of irritating things. First, we tried to organize a birthday party for our son but communication with whomever is in charge is spotty and everytime we ever went for a f2f meeting no one was able to help us. So they offer parties but it is difficult to get information. The front desk crew has no idea what to say. The other thing is I registered for group pilates mat class. Last week went great. This week I arrived to an empty room. Again the front desk people had no idea what to say. I asked them to see if I signed up for the wrong class or time even though I'm pretty sure I signed up for 2/22 at 9:30. I got a confirmation and the class size went from 6 spots left to 5. So today the 9:30 class isn't even listed. I didn't receive a notice that it was canceled so I don't know what happened but I'm done here.

I signed up solely for the outdoor lap pools which are fabulous. I have my own weight gym at home which is a very good thing because, as it was 10 years ago, the Villa Sport gym area is still a teen social club. The locker rooms are slowly being renovated which is good because the facilities looked like a staph infection waiting to happen. Also, the website is the speed of 1995 AOL dial up.

I've been hurried and rushed to leave the facility multiple times with 45 minutes left til closing. Ridiculous idea of "marketing" considering lifetime being five minutes away from them.

Do not waste your money. I have been off and on member and the health club is just a nightmare. The equipment and facility overall is just unacceptable for the price that they charge. It's highway robbery. Stay away from this place!

Let me just start by saying this I have been a member for 10 years with this club. I recently put my membership on hold while traveling for business. It turns out that whoever help me did not give me the proper instructions for putting my membership on hold and charging me $15 a month for being on hold. When I tried to use my membership it told me that it had been canceled instead of put on hold when I tried to reactivate it they wanted to charge me $400 for one month. The place is in terrible shape. They spend no money on repairing items or fixing anything, the level of incompetence with non-follow up from concierge on email and management makes Walmart look like the king of customer service. Four emails and two trips no responses from emails terrible customer service. The only option they gave me was $400 for one month to resign When I said no I'm not going to pay that they look relieved but they didn't have to deal with my case anymore. I will be following up with San Ramon corporate office and as of now it looks like they charged me $188 for a month that I did not use, good luck. If you decide to join this club, you're better off lifting rocks in a field, and taping your mouth. By the way, did I mention that the machinery in there is older than me, the towels are dirty the steam room stinks the TV in the dry heat sauna hasn't worked in three years and there's a smell of mildew and mold in the bathrooms.

We were counting down the days till Lifetime opened up.The equipment is very run down and not well maintained. Only have four squat racks for the entire gym meaning there’s always a line of people asking when you are done with your set. There’s always crowds of teenagers huddled around machines. They just stand around having a social hour while not using them and preventing others from using them. For what you pay for membership, the facilities should be way nicer than what they are. Most other members I have talked to have switched to Lifetime, including several of the trainers at Villa.

Aging facility, staff can use a little humbleness. Crowded with teenagers. The outdoor turf is amazing and outdoor workout area is ok.Equipment is plenty and maintained well. You have everything you need for a solid workout. Summer time is great for kids in the outdoor and indoor pool that are awesome.

I have been a member since 2018 and I cancelled this month.. Villakids management is so bad since a couple of years, they hire people who do not have experience with babies or toddlers I just recently had a very bad experience with the staff from front desk “Mandy” because she decided to yell to my 2 year old because she pushed another toddler she said and I quote “ your toddler was being a bully so I had to stopped her and she almost cried when I raised my voice to her” toddlers need a lot of patience you need to either distract them or go to one knee and try to say in a firm way no pushing. Anyways I don’t feel happy leaving my 2 year old there knowing that they have less patience and empathy towards toddlers.Aquatics is also a problem I had my six year old in swimming lessons and he had a different instructor like every 2 lessons the instructor will be late and he wouldn’t give me those extra 15 min.The womens locker room smells like mold. Towels everywhereSave your money or go to lifetime.

Don't go if you want to swim. The people here will watch their children jump into a lap lane while you are using it, and when you ask them nicely to please get their children out of the lap lane you are trying to swim laps in, they will curse you out. Almost every day while I was a member this summer, I had to ask for a lifeguard's assistance to deal with parents who refused to watch their children and let them interfere with your workout. I'm convinced that no one in this state actually knows what a lap lane is actually for. These people genuinely seemed confused that I didn't want their children doing backflips in the lap lane I'm trying to swim laps in. Did not compute. Also half-eaten hamburgers sitting next to the sauna is not something to write home about. I don't blame the staff, but the entitled members. With all the money these patrons have you'd think they could afford some common sense/courtesy but sadly that's not the case. The staff was very helpful and apologetic about the experiences I had dealing with awful members, but paying that much per month to get cursed out by classless strangers isn't worth the money.

Villa Sport in The Woodlands is going down the drain. Its getting really bad and if you look into the dressing rooms and showers in the evening. Villa Sport does not hire people enough to take care of the place and the guests that Villa bring on are not taking care of the place any longer. There are often used towels on the shower floor and it smells really dirty. Villa used to have a great variety of different kind of classes but they are cutting down on classes now and the classes gets sometimes so full that members need to step out. Instructors are changed all the time which I think is a sign of internal problems. I think this place will just continue to degrade. Villa Sport in The Woodlands is becoming an expensive version of YMCA. They will bring on a lot of members but reduce the service level. Sad to see that happening.

Great gym located in the woodlands. Has everything from machines, free weights, basketball courts, pool and slides for kids, outdoor CrossFit style workout, very clean, lockers and men’s room are extremely clean. Personally I like the variety of equipment they have that you don’t find at most other gyms. Great crowd, staff is extremely friendly.

It’s just such a great place to workout. The atmosphere is Country Club rather than Gym which I love! You need to bring nothing they supply it all if you want. The variety and caliber of classes will make sure you never get bored. I am so happy I am a member

I joined Villa a few months ago and absolutely love it. I initially joined because I was a year postpartum as a first time mom and was looking to do something for myself while my baby was cared for. Will and Jordan in Villa Kids played an integral role in helping my baby adjust to the daycare. They are so friendly but more importantly, they are so good with my baby! I am so thankful for them as well as the rest of the Villa Kids staff.Maggie’s Zumba class is the best. I’ve never been so excited to go to a workout before

This is a great gym if you're looking for an overpriced membership to be absolutely RIPPED OFF by incompetent and unethical managers.I put my account on hold but then was charged the full membership amount the next month anyways - not the appropriate pro-rated amount. On August 19th I wrote to the concierge email address as I was told to do if I had any questions, explained the billing issue and asked for it to be fixed, and I never heard back.So I went into the gym about a week later and spoke with "ambassador" Jake. He looked at my account and agreed that there was a billing issue. He said he would talk to his manager and then he would get back to me in a couple of days once it was resolved. I didn't hear back for a whole week, so I called back and spoke to him, he just gave me a bad attitude and said he hadn't heard back yet, I just had to wait.I didn't hear back, so I called back again on August 31st and spoke to Luke. He told me he would talk to his boss Sal / Saul and that he would get back to me. I never heard anything back.So then I wrote to the concierge service again, asking for a follow up on my billing issue. I haven't heard back. This is an unethical business that will take your money and won't make it right when they mess up - if fact, they won't even acknowledge you. Total scam.
