My wife and kids went and the experience was horrible. I called them after and they blew me off (I mean it was that bad that I had to call). I was supposed to get a call from the owner, but nothing. 1st time there and I guess my family aren't the type of people they like to serve. I have my suspicions why, but won't attribute intent. My family described it as one of those places that has a particular clientele and really don't care about anyone else...I see that in the number of 1 star reviews here.
After trying on the shoes THEN they told my wife there was a fee to try the shoes on. And the saleperson did it in a form that was condescending and embarrassing. The store is small and all my family said they felt that people started looking over their way. They described it as awkward and embarrassing. They say they have signs up, but they are not open and notorious where you would know just by walking in. My family had never been there...and who charges for trying on shoes????? And it pressured my wife into buying the shoes. Not the way to run a business.

I cannot begin to describe the feeling that I felt when my daughter called me saying that she had the best pointe shoe fitting. Thank you for making my daughters day. .

My daughter and I were in Houston for a summer intensive and came to Jazz Rags in need of pointe shoes. Tina is an amazing pointe shoe fitter. She stayed 1.5 hrs over store hours because she was so determined to find the right shoe. Her mission is to help people. If you need a true professional pointe shoe fitting, go here!!!!

Jazz Rags is a wonderful store that I recommend often. The staff there listen to what we need and provide great recommendations when our favorite shoes are discontinued. It is nice to be able to try on and get our hands on necessities when there is an emergency or we have forgotten performance day supplies. Plus they make my dancer feel special so she loves going in and shopping. Her favorite activity is an in store fashion show when new leotards arrive.

Went in to this store last week for dance gear for my tween daughter. She came out with everything she needed and super happy with all that she got. The sales associate was so helpful with suggesting different options for her. She also did a great job fitting her for ballet shoes and turning shoes. She gave the kind of service and attention that you just don’t see anymore. We will certainly be back when more gear is needed!

Tina the manager was an excellent help. My daughter was fitted incorrectly at another dance business and Tina went the extra mile to try to help us. The other store would not take them back even though it was not my girl's fault they are the wrong shoes. We had the ribbons in them already. Tina Downs a full fitting appointment with my daughter. She helped her with the ribbons to give some relief and help support better. We are forever grateful. We've purchased shoes and clothing in the past here but went to a different place because it was closer to us. We are definitely returning no matter how far it is from us. Thank you Jazz rags. We will continue to return.

Terrible experience. First time in this store and I needed Jazz shoes for my daughter. I knew exactly what I needed and what brand I wanted. I asked what the price was and was shocked to hear it was nearly $20 more than the studio we attend sells them for. ( only reason we came here was bc they were out of her size at the studio). I asked the reason for the price difference and the manager said that the studios just get the cheap brands and they need to pay for the utilities/employees salaries/etc. this really didn’t make sense to me, considering it was the same brand of shoe, she was so condescending that I wouldn’t have purchased them from her anyway. I informed our dance studio about these comments, and order directly from them instead of Dance rags.So if you are looking for terrible customer service, being spoken down to, and over priced everything, this is your store!
