I LOVE HP copiers. My last one lasted 10 years!!!! So we decided to purchase a new model.
I purchased a Personal use HP copier for my home. I saw HP’s cutesy ad on the copier for “free” ink and paper for six months. All I had to do is sign up with a credit card for a monthly billing there after. I thought okay I’ll sign up.
I’ve been on the plan for almost a year. I want to cancel my subscription, Since I think it’s costing me more to use the ink and paper “service” than if I purchase from Costco. And they are telling me I can’t use the printer anymore without paying them more money since I’m over my Contracted amount. What in the world!?!? I was even told in an online chat that I had to package up my printer and send back to them as well?!?! This is not a business. This is my personal Printer I purchased from Costco!
They won’t replace my printer if it goes bad I’ll have to pay for a new one. So why do they have the RIGHT to tell me how many copies I can make I a Month?! I Bought and PAY THEM MONTHLY for the ink and paper. So my paper shows I have over 200 copies left “on my plan” but 16 on the ink. And the ink cartridges are still full. If I cancel now I can only use their ink cartridges for two more weeks?! When my plan pays out again. So they want 1/2 empty cartridges back… I had to go buy some ink last month since my yellow ran out and they never did one thing about that, but to tell me I had a cartridge That was not theirs. (No it is HP from the store I paid for since they didn’t send me more when needed). Their little game is NOT worth the hassle nor money. You can get more for you dollar from the most expensive store around than by using their “service”. BE AWARE they nickel and dime you. $1.50 per ten copies over the “Contract”! What a JOKE. If this were a business and they’d replace my machine when it wears out or repair it (which they DON’T) I would NOT RECOMMEND this “service”. Steer clear. Don’t be sucked in.
I still like the HP product BUT their ink and paper programs are a scam. And interstate Fraud. Why aren’t the asking for my unused paper back?! Hmmm?
Seriously HP would be a Solid Five if this program wasn’t so crooked!

Don't buy HP products. Once the printer subscription ends they block your printer from printing and you have to figure out how to reset it which means they still have access to your printer. Even if the subscription is cancelled they still actively block something you paid for in the efforts for you to restart their crap.

Super happy with the printer it’s been great until I wanted to get new toner cartridges. These jerks set it up so that I can only buy their super expensive cartridges that are unreasonably priced. I bought the product, I should be able to throw my printer off of the second story building. I should be able to put in whatever I want for toner cartridges. Bad policy on their part. I spent so much damn money on their printer. I have to be stuck with it for now, but I will go out of my way with every effort to tell people how bad of a company this is and to stay away for their products.

I just want my printer to work 😭 I like to think I'm pretty patient with customer support… I realize its cheaper to pay people outside of the united states to answer the phones, and I don't mind that I can't always understand them on the first try. The problem is when they become increasingly RUDE when I ask them to repeat themselves. I've been through 3 representatives at this point. I'm sooo close to canceling my All-In-One and my Instant-Ink (I've had for years), selling my home printer, and replacing our 3 HP computers.

We have been a insta ink customer for over 6 years and now they are trying to charge 91.99 for a plan we are not on. When we called about it we got the run around and their customer service agents tell you it will be taken care of and it is not in reality. Called the executive escalation department at corporate office wouldn’t even help. Not even worth the 1 star rating that google requires.
Please be careful when going with this company.

Pretty sure HP stands for Horrible Printer. Over a decade later and I'm still struggling from the random cartridge errors of the old pre-lawsuit ink scam era. Yes, I've done every firmware rollback and spent hours troubleshooting. I'm never buying an HP product ever again, but thanks for the idea of getting a continuous ink system.

I bought a notebook and it didn't work properly so I returned for exchange. one week after HP received it the replacement is not yet on the way. All phone calls are routed to the Philippines and they didn't seem to have the capability to help. They blamed the warehouse in the USA. On my 5th call I insisted to speak with a manager and a supervisor told me he would try and help. Now I have a FEDEX on the way 8 hours after that call. The replacement computer was received and works great thanks to the supervisor Antonio in the Philippines.

Ordered new HP printer, had initiated Instant App which later I cancelled. After that, Printer is out if order and that piece is useless for me now. We tried to contact the HP service center, absolutely pathetic response and support!
Extremely disappointed and will never ever buy any HP assets!

One of, if not the worst, companies to exist. They sell subpar products, offer terrible customer support, and try to nickle and dime everywhere they can. I will never buy another product from them, and you shouldn't either.

I have owned an HP 8025 (Not the e, but I felt the need to let people know my experience) for around three years. I found it to be a perfectly adequate printer while it was working. Tonight, though, I wanted to print a recipe card... No dice. Everything seemed to be in working order. My ink levels were high enough not to warrant a second glance. The HP Smart Windows app showed green lights across the board. What's the next logical step, then..? Call Tech Support! After spending a not unreasonable amount of time wrestling with the automated voice, I was connected with a lovely Eastern Asian gentleman named Manuel. After some light troubleshooting while he pulled up the details of my account (including verifying the printer even worked at all through a simple copy job) I was informed that I would need to pay a fee of $19.99 for the pleasure of receiving their technical support services with my printer being out of warranty. I declined to pay their fee and will never... ever... purchase an HP product again. May this piece of e-waste be lovingly recycled into something actually useful.
