Houston Garden Center offers a great and very large selection of plants, including every plant that grows in the area, lawn sods, and a wide variety of fertilizers and weed killers. It is known for good prices, great deals, and very discounted prices, especially during late August and September. However, the staff is often not too helpful and may not know about plants or products. The store is also not wheelchair friendly, making access difficult. Customers recommend bringing a large plastic bag to protect their car, as these are not provided.
No one that works here knows anything about grass or plants. The two cashier's on duty said that no one knows anything during the day either. The prices are pretty good so if you know what you're doing (and what you need) it's probably not a bad option, that is why I still gave it three stars.

A great selection of plants. I think they have every plant you can think of that grows in the area. There is some kind of plant for everyone there. Plus a wide variety of fertilizers, and weed killers.
