If I could leave zero stars I would. Room smelt of cat piss and cigars. Cockroaches everywhere. There was food and crumbs all over floor and under the mattress. Cigarette ashes in the drawers. Empty dope baggies behind the bed. Open drug deals going on in parking lot. To top it all off I have been getting the run around about my refund for a week now. Every day they say the manager will be in later. I'm calling the public health department on this hell hole on Monday.
Rooms: Run away as fast as you can. I've been in jail cells that are better than this. If the cleaning lady actually cleaned instead of stealing people's grocery orders and chain smoking cigarettes outside the room. It might be half a star.
Safety: Open drug deals going on. Tweakers running from room to room. Someone got shot here not long ago. Cockroaches in the rooms. Smell of cat piss and cigars.
Noteworthy details: Roaches, cat piss smell, cigar smells, drug deals, hookers, and general lack of safety. If that's your thing come on down to an extended stay in hell.

Booked my stay a MONTH in advance and as I’m coming into town they cancelled the reservation because THEY OVER BOOKED. I paid for a room and they gave it away. Don’t even bother!!

Rooms: Very small, but if need be it has a kitchen and a refrigerator that didn't work... These rooms are very run down. No blankets only a sheet. Workers are rude!

Stay was okay at first then we noticed our room didn't have a fridge and the broke ahh management tried to say that there was a fridge prior to my stay and that they won't put a fridge in because they think I took it.I asked them to review the security footage they have not. I am a 19 yr old woman who's not built big how and why would I haul yalls broke down fridge to anywhere and then continue to sleep in this run down broke down establishment that's ghetto. They also threw out belongings while I left my room for a moment when I will still staying in the room for a whole other night. Ghetto ghetto ghetto disgusting and depressing. Would totally shut down the place on the spot inspection on the elevator is past due 3 years! Hasn't been inspected since 2020 and has needed a new inspection since 2021

Travelers beware! I checked in around 9pm after traveling all day, and paid for the entire 2 1/2 weeks I planned to stay in town for business upon check-in. (so not a special prepaid rate or anything, just the normal rate) Then I went to bed and the next morning took a very cold shower that never got warm and saw the room in the daylight for the first time and it was disgusting. There was a dining table but no chair. The in-room fridge was rusty. The shower had barnicles and mold chunks hanging from the ceiling above it. There was a wire rack to hang clothes (instead of a closet) and no hangers, and the dresser was missing the knobs and were dirty inside the drawers so there was nowhere to sit or put my clothes. So I went and talked to the front desk and asked if I could check out and be refunded, and was told yes, but the manager would have to do it later that day. I gave it some thought and decided to go somewhere else instead. So I got my stuff out and turned in my room key and "checked out" and went to a different hotel. (this is important as they refused to check me out so they could keep my money and not refund me. So I was shown as checked-in the entire time event though I left less than 12 hours after check in)
When I called back that afternoon to confirm I was checked out and the refund was coming since I got no email about either, I was told they don't do refunds and would be leaving me checked in for the duration I paid for and keeping my $850. Nowhere on the receipt or on the wall of the front desk or on the website did it say NO REFUNDS, so I am not sure how they can legally lie and steal hundreds of dollars and just say "sorry, no refunds."
When I disputed it with the hotel manager and their District Manager (who told their staff that they don't ever refund) I was given the number to their corporate offices to try them instead. Guest Relations also said they would refund me and an executive would be contacting me to apologize and again no refund or phone call ever came. So I followed up again today and was told they talked to the District Manager (the thief) and that person decided to deny the refund so there is nothing they can do. Why would you ask the person who did the crime to approve it or not? So no one from "corporate" ever reached out or confirmed things and they were happy to just ignore it like I'd just go away after they stole over $800 from me.
So since they left me showing as checked-in the entire time I wasn't there, (aka fraud) they denied my refund and kept my $850 even though I was there for less than 12 hours. (aka theft) This was literal theft and fraud, pure and simple, and it is shameful business practices to steal from customers. This wasn't like accidentally overcharging or charging a penalty fee, this is like grand theft. I will NEVER stay at one of these hotels again and I'd urge others to strongly consider it before paying the full expected rate upon check in or in advance as they will steal your money if they can. Travelers beware indeed!
Noteworthy details: Worst experience I have ever had with a hotel, and I travel a lot. The hotel room I had was missing furniture and disgusting, so I ASKED if I could check out and be refunded and was told yes. But when I turned in my room key and checked out, they never actually checked me out so they could continue to bill me for over 2 weeks when I was there less than 12 hours. It is noteworthy in that I have NEVER seen a hotel do or act like this and commit fraud and theft of a customer. Shameful!

This place is awful. I checked in and immediately checked back out. I got up to the room and it smelled so bad I got a headache. There were some random pills left behind so it clearly wasn't cleaned. There were used condoms in the parking lot and "pet area". And because I turned down the comforter to check the bed they are charging me for a night when I was there maybe 10 minutes. Absolutely awful. The only thing it has going for it is the staff I spoke with was friendly even though the manager still pushed to charge a night just for a comforter being moved, meanwhile housekeeping left PILLS in the room. What if a kid was staying there and got a hold of it? Terrible

Pleasant, very clean, informative and professional. Offered help! Thank you*
Noteworthy details: Made sure that's that all amenities were met. Cleanliness is important to me and I like how the GM, or manager, our first morning came by to check and see how our stay has been since check-in from the previous night at 6PM. Also helping us to remain on the same page with where to find trash receptacle/what was not at all an appropriate place(s) put out bag of trash ?️? Much appreciated!! ?

I'm a local guide with hundreds of reviews. Please trust mine.
Ive traveled all over the country for the last several years, ESA is generally my go-to for value, location, and amenities that mimick a small apartment.
This location, despite the nicer part of houston, is a joke.
It's clearly an old low rent motel that was horribly renovated to pretend to be an extended stay.
Room is tiny. Mini fridge that doesn't work instead of a mid sized fridge. Half the cook top doesn't work. Microwave is too small for a soup bowl.
If that's not bad enough, we checked in on a Sunday night with a reservation. Room was FILTHY. We were told housekeeping doesn't work Sundays.
Filthy sheets, towels on the shower floor, food all over the walls, drink rings on every surface, floors covered in hair..long and short and curly. No vanity in bathroom.
Door latch is also broken. Dead bolt only works if you Jimmy the door while locking.
We asked for a few easy kitchen things that are supposed to be provided. None available.
ESA, you need to disenfranchise this location.
It's horrible.
Zero stars please?
Rooms: Small, filthy, outlets don't work, electrical tape blocking them.
Two people can't walk passed each other.
Safety: Door latch broken.
Walkability: Pizza hut?
Noteworthy details: Front desk is rude and unaccomidating.
Management tries but clearly can't control their employees.
Housekeeping doesn't clean before a new check in.
I'd seriously rather camp if this was refundable.

This place is GROSS!! DON'T COME HERE!!! The rooms are NOT clean-- Amenities are broken and Management does not care! They are still booking and selling rooms KNOWING no one has cleaned them. Don't want to give you your money back or comp room or compromise anything. Your health is in danger here!! Sleep in your car-- you'll be alive tomorrow!!
Safety: Your not safe here unless you like Nasty!

My only issue is my door key fails to work almost everyday and I have to get them to reprogram it .The problem is more than likely the door lock itself.
Nearby activities: Shopping Harley Davidson dealership
Walkability: Lots of things within walking distance, food , gas , Harley Davidson dealership a block away.
Food and drinks: Several restaurants near by, and a breakfast restaurant

UPDATE 3 months: The housing market is collapsing & is owned by corporations & unless you have $5k to move and a 560 credit score you're done. Electric/Gas are only going to increase ERCOT said. We're beating the system by staying herehis is a family establishment & by family I mean the staff and their guests. If you're nice, they're nice and will work with you. Feel blessed if you get to stay here.
⭐Week 4: Running out of space to update my review so I'll be simple (I can just have my 15 and 16 year old write honest reviews themselves if they want on their Google accounts. We're a family of writers anyways, which is probably why I am in the top 10% of Google restaurant reviewers - not sure how that plays into this review but whateve).
What I learned this week: The staff are honest & cordial as are members of management. Thanks to their low rates I have finally been able to save up almost half of the money I need to move into my new house in just 3-4 week. That wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the morning manager on last Sunday. Thank you for believing me & checking with your employee. I apologize for the duress i caused, Ma'am.
⭐Week 3: I've discovered a community of caring and loving people. It's like this: There's long term stays and short term stays. Long terms are the elite (kind & quiet). If you find yourself here long term, be proud of where you stay because the group of long term stays make it worth it. I've seen more kindness from the staff and community than I ever saw in my 8 years at my last house.
⭐Week 2: Decided to make it a 3 week stay! Cheaper rate after you stay longer with pets and their promotions! I added these dinner photos today because I want to remind you YOU CAN MAKE THIS A HOME AWAY FROM HOME with the stuff they givOur close proximity to HEBs low-cost delicious food makes it possible to make five star cuisine in your suite! I spent $25 on this and it's a goat cheese butterfly pork chop stuffed with cilantro. (And hopefully you're lucky enough to get checked in by one of my 2 favorite employees. Look for red braids. UPDATE : SHE HAS TAKEN OUT HER PRETTY RED BRAIDS AND IT'S JUST NOW HAS HER NATURAL LIGHT BROWN HAIR BUT IT IS SO LONG AND SO BEAUTIFUL.. ♥️) BTW this is a safe location to anyone worried.
⭐Week 1: I'm not really sure why this location only gets 3-ish ⭐. I'm going to give you the God's honest truth: this is a place where you can afford to stay. Anybody and everybody can — and when I say anybody and everybody can, stay do stay here.
The amenities in my room on the 3rd floor are up to date and quite comfortable. But do you want to know what's more comfortable? Having this team of staff members just a phone call away.
I honestly can't tell who is the manager and that's because they are all so knowledgeable and treat each other's as equals. I would probably make them all managers if I had the ability.
Your question is what does it take to make a manager for a location like this: endurance, happiness, a smile & the willing to go above & beyond with a service smiling all the time.
Once upon a time we thought of these places as "mehh" but it's 2024 and in this economy it is 5 out of 5 ⭐ but I assure you this is the farthest thing from that.
If you're like me and you lost everything in current floods, or have a horrific landlord and you need a cheap place to stay for a week, a month, heck even a year, then come here and make this your home away from home.
To finish up, I can't say enough about the staff honestly. Morning, noon or night they are ready to help you. Do not look over this place. Hardwood floors (at least on the 3rd floor) and yes it's really real wood. When I walk into that main office,

The room is very small with a very small closet and limited space for office work and/or computer equipment. I am in town for at least 1 month possibly longer, while working insurance claims related to Hurricane Beryl. I need to stay some place comfortable and convenient. The room smelled bad, like B.O. or maybe a pet odor. The AC filters were filthy and full of dust, dirt and what appeared to be pet hair. I cleaned the AC filters myself and I bought an air freshener, however the room still smells bad. I think it could be the carpet, which has some dark stains. The bathroom and closet lights did not work when I first arrived. The shower curtain rod was so dirty it stained the bath towel and face cloth black when I draped them over the rod to dry after showering. The towel bar was missing so there is no where else to hang a damp towel or face cloth. The towel bar/rod has not been repaired or replaced after 8 days and multiple requests. During previous stays at other ESA properties, clean sheets were provided weekly. Apparently this property requires the guest to bring there towels and sheets to the office. The toilet seat is very loose and difficult to sit on without sliding off. There is limited kitchen equipment available. After 4 days stay I finally got (1) frying pan, (1) lg plastic spoon and (1) small paring knife, so much for cooking meals. I had to ask for a microwave, which I received on day 2 , but it took 1 week to get a toaster. The mini-fridge freezes all the items placed in it. The temperature control knob is missing, it appears to be turned all the way down but still freezes all food on the 1st and 2nd shelves. There are no containment rods or bars in 2 of 3 refrigerator door shelves, so there is no way to store small jars or condiments in the refrigerator's door shelves. I have had to buy ice for my travel cooler every day to keep my perishable groceries cold without freezing them. I'm very busy with my work and don't have time or the energy to fuss about the accommodations at this hotel. I am very disappointed and will be looking for another location as soon as time permits, in the interim I will make the best of a bad situation.

When we got here the key card sensor didn't work. There's roaches, ants, and flies. The staff is great but the hotel isn't (obviously). There's sirens every night.
Walkability: There's a convenience store right down the street
Food and drinks: It's surrounded by all kinds of restaurants. Italian restaurants, Mexican restaurants, there's even an IHOP.
