I do not know what has happened the last year, but things here have gotten really bad customer service wise. I had a great loan officer for my car. I have had a few car loans with ECCU. She was my main point of contact and my payments were taken out automatically each month. I needed some help and reached out to her a couple months ago and found out she left. It took my hours to find someone to speak to me about something so simple. I had to jump through multiple hoops but it finally got done. I then needed some more help a month ago and called. I waited on hold for over 30 minutes. I tried chat and no one was available. I then commented on their social media and about a week later someone contacted me. They then updated their website and payment systems a couple months ago. The roll out was a huge mess. I had to resign up for everything which also knocked out my auto payments. I did not know what. I had been overpaying for months and did not have a payment in December. I try to pay early and overpay to avoid added interest. I now have extra interest and fees because of the auto payment getting knocked out. I tried to submit my loan payment today and kept getting declined. I called my bank and they said the payment is coming through on their end as $0.00. They see the attempts but the amount is $0 even though on loan portal it shows the full payment amount. I called and waited 15 minutes to speak to someone. They put in a ticket and told me pay it from my bank account instead. Not what I want to do because that is not how I had my auto payments set up previously. The customer service has truly plummeted and it is sad because this used to be a really great credit union. It is like they quit caring and it is very noticeable.

This credit union is a farce. First of all, if you're going to deposit a check, Don't! They won't tell you, but they hold deposits for between 7 and 14 days. I deposited 2 checks. One was a government check, and one was an insurance check. The government check was placed on hold for 7 days. The insurance check was placed on hold for 14 days. Both are ridiculous amounts of time being that they received their money within 3 days. Second, their call lines or text lines are never available. I've sat on hold for 30 minutes waiting for a chat when I was the supposed next in line. Finally my phone timed out and I was never connected. I've waited 6 hours for a call back from the next available agent. All and all, don't waste your time with an account here. Take your money to Chase. They're easy, customer oriented, and a national chain.

Bought a vehicle and used them as my loan provider the dealership called saying that they have not got their check after 25 days and asked us to return the Vehicle because the bank never sent their check to them …the worse bank I used to do my loan with ….

There was always an issue when I would come to pay my car note was a member. Ghetto customer service is a compliment compared to what I've experienced.

I would like to give 10 stars to this Credit Union and Branch the Manager Joshette Jackson, at the Springwoods Village location. She educated me on my finances and helped me build my credit years ago, and of course if fell behind to only reach out to her again and with no hesitation she helped me Succeed again , she provided me with best Customer Service and financial knowledge that anyone could ask for. She is an expert in Finance and she is a Gem all around. Ms. Jo helped me become the person I am financially today and I'm glad to be a part of Energy Capital Credit Union. This was the best decision I could have made with any financial institution. Kudos to Ms. Jo - I feel safe with her and the Credit Union.

Maurice Mcsheppard should be out of a job. Here are the reasons. Failure to recognizing large potential company earnings in minimal risk loans. Failure to consider the large amount of interest money made from current loans in good standing. Failure to escalate review into a easily approvalble deal. ECCU should be looking to fill a consumer lending sales manager position with someone that can excell and never ever miss opportunity to make the conoany money.

I've been a member of ECCU since '99. Though all staff is courteous & helpful, Ms. J. Jackson is my go to person on the rare occasion that I may need special attention in a timely matter.

Angela provides great customer service! She has helped me set up my checking accounts so that I am maximizing my interest. When I encountered a problem with my debit card, she was quick to get it resolved. Anytime I have a question, her replies are prompt and helpful! Thank you, Angela!!!
