Dr. O'Brien Su is wonderful. She listens to your questions and doesn't rush you. I drive from Fort Worth to be able to have her for my doctor.

I used to go to this office about 11 years ago when my kids were younger. I saw Dr. Hunt who is amazing. I eventually stopped going because I thought the front office staff was very unprofessional. I just moved back to the area and decided to try the office again. I was pleasantly surprised that the office staff has greatly improvied. Dr. Hunt is still amazing and so is her nurse Maria and I'm very thankful that the management of this office is taking steps to train their front office staff to be kind, courteous and helpful instead of rude and abrasive. Looking forward to coming back again to this office now.

I know it’s hard to find good help, but hiring Dulce to work the front desk if this practice is akin to hiring a wolf to greet the rabbits. She’s rude to the point of being aggressive. Nothing like a low wage minimally educated hostile young woman to greet your patient population in Southlake.

My wife was seen at 1:30 for flu testing, tested positive. Hours later after they have closed they have yet to send off her prescription to be filled. The sense of urgency is incredibly poor and ridiculous.

Shining example of what's wrong with our health care system. Tried to get in to see my regular doctor for injuries I sustained earlier in the day and the triage nurse told me I should probably go to the ER. I told her I didn't want to go to the ER, didn't think it was necessary, and didn't want those kinds of bills. She was friendly enough and told me she understood and she would get me into the office, either with my regular doctor or I could go to their in-house office Urgent Care. She put me through to another person. This woman was much less pleasant, made me wait on the phone for about 20 minutes, came back and told me my doctor isn't there today and their Urgent Care won't see me because they think I should go to the ER. I told her I'm not going to the ER, and so when could I book a regular appointment with my doctor? She told me two weeks out. I said that wouldn't work, so I'd go elsewhere. 5 minutes later a totally different lady from their office called and left a message that my doctor isn't there but I'm welcome to come to their office Urgent Care between 4:30-7:30pm, no appointment necessary. I called the office to verify and the woman said ok. Five minutes later she called me back and told me my doctor recommended I go to the ER, and I told her I understand, but I'm not going there, and is it still okay that I come to their office Urgent Care. She said I could, but if I show up there's a good chance they turn me away and don't treat me. At that point I decided to go to a different local Urgent Care who were very friendly, close by and happily willing to see me. While I was there, I got ANOTHER call from the less than pleasant woman from Southlake Family Medicine and I told her I wasn't going to their office, and I asked the woman to leave me alone. 2 minutes later she called back AGAIN and left a message saying where my doctor thought I should be going, even though my doctor wasn't working that day OR willing to see me in the next few days, and they were NOT willing to see me at their own Urgent Care. At that point, that's just harassment of a patient who needs medical attention that they won't provide. If they weren't willing to see me in the condition I was in, that's fine, but they should have just told me up front they wouldn't treat me, and I would have moved on. But honestly, this office is so backwards, so much bureaucracy, some rude staff, and so clearly concerned about liability, over patient care, that I've decided to seek a new primary care physician. I've been with this practice for over 10 years, but enough is enough.

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Fonte for 10 years and has to go in for a sick visit at least twice a year, the last one being in 2020. 90% of the time Dr. Fonte is not available so she has to see a PA. We just called for an appt. and they have dropped her as a patient "because she hasn't seen her doctor in 3 years". That's because her Dr. is never available! They don't take into account that she visits the clinic twice a year and has to see whomever is available?! Now, she has to sign up again as a new patient with a new doctor. Ridiculous patient care!

I had scheduled an appointment with one of the doctors and had to cancel. When I went to schedule a second appointment, they told me since I had 100% no shows that I wasn’t allowed to schedule an appointment ever again with anyone there. What kind of absurdity is that?

Dr. Joyce Stroud is amazing. After 27 years of being her patient, I consider her a friend. She spends time with me and answers emails. She IS THE BEST. I was in and out for my yearly in 40 minutes including labs.

Southlake Fam Med has gotten better and better. The front desk staff used to be kind of abrupt. In the last couple of years, every call and personal interaction has been polite and helpful. On our last visit, the front desk staff as well as the doctors assistant and nurse went way above and beyond to immediately get us in and paperwork completed on the spot. Wow! Thank you!!

my daughter needed stitches so we took her in and instead they glued it and said they don’t even have numbing cream to do stitches. I’m on my way back right now because after a week of carefully taking care of her I just, the wound is still open and bleeding

Cancels appointments for no reason and without notice. Use UT Southwestern. More professional and safe.
