I've been taking my dogs, guinea pigs, and lizards here for years. The doctors here are always wonderful and they have saved my animals lives on a number of occasions. Could not recommend this vet more for your exotic animal needs!

I brought two of my rats here for an upper respiratory infection, and with the medication all costs were around $200. This included three vet checkups for free! I will never go to another vet because of the care and attention to the pets that they have here. The vet and technicians will not try to overcharge you for anything or neglect your pets in any way no matter how small. It is a 35-45 minute drive to get here but it is more than worth it. I highly recommend this vet for anyone no matter the pet.
Edit: it has been 4 years since I made this review and I will be taking away one star because of my most recent visit that will have me not returning. I waited 45 minutes after my appointment for one of my three cats to be seen and when my room was “ready” it reeked of bleach and I had to wait longer for the room to air out. Overall it was an extremely unpleasant experience.

The Dr.’s and staff at Southlake Animal Hospital are compassionate and committed to helping our animals and us. They are great at giving you all the options and helping you with the emotional choices along with being fiscally responsible. They have been with us as we said goodbye and hello to our animals. We are currently on #7 with them.

The doctor is great, the front desk staff are abhorrent. Every phone call is a battle with them, they can’t give straight answers. Business is being taken elsewhere.

This place is so great! There was a goose that had a broken foot in the back pond of our neighborhood. We captured it and took it here where the vets cared for her foot and released her to a wildlife rehabilitation center.
