I bought 14 C rods at $14 each. The sales rep I dealt with at Calico in Southlake, TX never told me I could not return them if not needed. After finding out I don't need them after all, I was told by the rep and store manager at Calico Southlake, that I cannot return these bulkily manufactured rods. These rods were not custom made for me. No one at the store told me the rods are non-refundable. I think not letting customers know, prior to purchasing, that items are non-returnable/non-refundable is unethical.We are remodeling our home and we were considering working with them to custom make our formal area windows treatments; we changed our minds.Be aware, folks, when ordering non-custom made items at this place you are not going to be able to return. They treat custom and non-custom made items the same.

Let me just start off with how friendly the Calico staff is. I walked through the front doors and was greeted with hellos and smiles from everyone there. The staff there really took care of me and was attentive to any questions I had. My mother and I went into the Calico in Southlake to purchase a few things for the house we were renovating. Not only was the staff absolutely wonderful but the work we received was beyond what we could have expected. The manger helped us decide on what type of fabric and color scheme we were going for around the house. The drapes came back perfect, not only were they a great a fit in the room but the measurements were spot on. We also received some accent pillows made for the main sectional and beds around the house. The manager helped us design the shape of pillows and suggested some frayed edges as well. Everything came out wonderfully. And the frayed edges she had suggested was the perfect little touch we needed. Overall the products we received turned out great and, the customer service was phenomenal. The work we received was above and beyond and we will definitely keep going back.

I hate to give anyone a negative review but, I'd like to spare anyone else from going through what we did. I will say that we used the Dallas location several years ago with zero issues. We recently ordered treatments for 1 large two story bay window, 3 doors, 3 additional windows, one window seat cushion and bedding from the Calico Southlake location. Two of the door treatments were done so sloppily that they had to be returned and replaced. The window seat cushion was made too long and had to be redone. The center visible bracket on one of the window treatments was installed with anchors that do not match the finish. Because they are anchors, they can't be easily removed so, we are living with them as is. The left ribbon trim on a stagecoach valance had to be removed and reattached to make it straight. -This I corrected myself with a staple gun. The bay window drapes were made incorrectly and were almost twice as wide as ordered. They had to be remade. The hardware ordered was also missing pieces (twice) and, in the end, they needed three separate visits before this treatment was finally completed and installed. Additionally, we have a large leather sectional that is not easily moved. A second installation crew ended up using a scaffold to work behind it. However, before this scaffold solution was known, the store manager came to my home and blamed me for the difficult installation situation instead of consulting first with someone experienced in this area. Anyone in customer service knows to present possible solutions first. Don't pick an argument with the customer, especially without full knowledge of the situation. Spare yourself and go somewhere else. We had a piece reupholstered by a fabric warehouse at Beltline and Midway. I wish we had used them for everything else.
