We had a great time learning how to actually build a sand castle. We never had much success playing in the sand before, but with this 2 hour lesson we built both a castle and a turtle!! Enjoyed by both the adults and the teens, a win win!

Just bought a basic kit off the website. It was pretty easy to do and hopefully it will come in the mail real soon. I've been watching the videos and building for about two years now. It's been a lot of fun and we definity don't do boring.

The sand castle lesson was so much fun! We had lots of little kiddos with us who loved the lesson and freedom to try the new skills Andy taught them. The adults loved the lessons too and learning how to make a tall sand castle. It was very relaxed where the kids could come and go between playing in the water to seeking out new techniques. Andy was incredible to read out group and let us play. We highly recommend this as a part of Your family vacation.

We had a large group of approximately 45 as part of a homeschool group. There was also another team billing group who took the class with us. Andy did an amazing job incorporating math, science, history, and architecture into the sandcastle building lessons for our students. He is extremely talented in his sandcastle building. Andy proved to be wonderful and engaging instructor. He walked around and gave insight when we ran into trouble or needed some advice. Do not skip this class! It was easily the most fun we've had on our trip this far!

This is a for sure must do!! It was the highlight of our trip! Mr Andy was so patient and funny. We would highly recommend this event on your trip. He also does wedding proposals! How cool is that!!

Another vacay "must do." So you think you can build a sandcastle... Take a lesson and discover what you really need to know. Padre is one of the best places to build 'em high to the sky. However, unless Andy reveals his decades of secrets on sand building...your labor will be in vain & become a leaning tower of mess. This is a bonding activity for all ages & groups, or perfect for couples or solo. Andy is from the land down under. His accent is cool. His knowledge is cooler. Pack drinks, snacks, hats & sunscreen. He provides the rest. Do something new on your vacay! Tipping, although not required, is appreciated. A lovely time was had by all my clan. Thanks Andy!

We booked a two hour class with Andy and loved every minute of it! He did a great job explaining the science and engineering behind the sandcastles to my three daughters (11, 9 and 7 years old). Once he taught us the basic principles, he let us try and explore techniques on our own. Andy found a good balance between assisting and letting us be creative. It was an amazing experience that we will treasure forever!

Great time for all ages! Was fun and interesting to learn the ins and outs of sand castle building. We all had a wonderful time and are much more knowledgeable so we can build our own in the future. Andy is great- informative and funny as well as passionate about his profession. This is a must do when you are in South Padre!

My four kids (ages 12, 10, 10, & 8) and I had a great time learning how to build sand castles with Andy yesterday. I chose the two hour lesson thinking that would be all the time I wanted to play in the sand even though Andy suggested three hours. Andy was right as we could have continued building with Andy's help for several more hours. The first hour of our lesson was building a castle together with Andy where he showed us the basic techniques and the second hour was the kids each building their own castles with Andy helping. We will definitely book Andy again when we are back on the island and will choose the longer lesson. Thank you Andy for the bag of castle building tools as my kids can't wait to get out there and build more castles!

We had the best time on our return visit to see Andy. The new longer lessons are awesome! We had admirers coming up asking questions and taking pictures. Andy is a great teacher and so much fun to hang out with. The best part was building something together with my wife and just having fun like a couple of kids. Will do this EVERY time we come to the island!

Our family took a trip to South Padre this summer and one of the things we could not wait to do was take a sand castle lesson. We were not disappointed! The lesson was extremely fun for the whole family. Andy Hancock is a wonderful and friendly instructor who is incredible at sandcastle building. My family built a huge beautiful sandcastle that people stoped to stare at long after we were finished. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun family activity while visiting the beach!

My sister planned her beach wedding in SPI and we were looking for something fun to do with the nieces during downtime. We found Andy via the city website and contacted him immediately. He accommodated us within 48 hours of our request. We had THE BEST TIME! Andy was super knowledgable and gave us some great facts about sand castles. It was very educational and the kids loved it! We have a hard time finding something to entertain 4 year old twins, but they were engaged the entire time! Even my dad had a great time - and that's hard to accomplish! Andy was great with the kids and had some really funny one-liners for the adults. At the end of the lesson, we received a bag with a bunch of tools so we could continue our sand castle making adventures for the future. He even offered to let us borrow some of the buckets to make sand castles during the week if we wanted! My fiancé and I haven't been able to stop talking about how much fun we had and how much we took away from the experience. I just had to write a review. We HIGHLY recommend this for ANYONE - no matter what the age! We had a blast and will bring our own family here one day! Thanks Andy!

I highly recommend this is you have kids. Everything you do to build a sandcastle is WRONG! He was entertaining, good with kids, really fun! Also had a lot of educational facts for us! Andy is funny...do this your first day here so you can practice building the rest of your vacation, you each go home with a kit!
