Tiny thrift store with lots of stuff, and lots of barking dogs. The smell of dog was overwhelming for me so I didn’t peruse long. It was very hot that day so maybe that’s why.

This is a great place to go and support the animal shelter on the island, they have a thrift shop which resells items that are donated which helps to support the shelter. They also take donations, and they have animals up for adoption there.

The staff ( Jennie ) is so friendly and nice, my mom and I frequent there often, and donating to them helps the fur babies. I adopted my gorgeous cat Scarlet there.

Last November my husband and I wanted to meet the kittens/cats at the shelter and were told no. Had to fill out adoption paperwork first. Two very rude ladies said they didn't want to upset the dogs and cats with people just looking. REALLY! Our local shelter WANTS humans to interact with the animals as much as possible because it's good for the animals. They also said we'd have to come back on an appointment because the person who handled that aspect wasn't there which would've been fine. We went away in disbelief, went home and adopted from a shelter far away from our local shelter. They said we should come back anytime to interact with ALL the animals. Imagine that!

Absolutely great shelter! My daughter and I were on vacation and stopped in on a whim. My daughter fell in love with one of the dogs and decided he was the one. We live in Minnesota. Although getting him here may have taken a little longer then hope it was worth the wait. Tanner is the sweetest, most well behaved boy and you can tell how much time and effort they put into the rescues. Will forever be grateful for them giving my daughter her best friend. Oh and they took care of the transport costs. Now it's time to find Brook her furever home. Check them out on FB, Instagram or their website

My daughter and I were on vacation and just stopped in by chance. My daughter fell in love with one of the dogs. The people were so friendly and they did more than expected to make this happen. It may have taken a little longer then we hoped but they found him transport to us in MN and at no cost!! They truly care about the pets in their care!! If you are looking to adopt then this is the place. Tanner is so well behaved and you can tell they put alot of time and effort into his care. PS check out Jolene it's her turn to find her furever home ♥️♥️

You can’t seriously call yourself a no kill shelter if you’re going to ship off animals to other kill shelters. If someone bring a you an animal because they don’t want it to die, why would send it to another shelter knowing they will euthanize it? Despicable behavior. Violent stupidity. Have integrity.
