“I stayed here with my family for 2 weeks and honestly it was extremely quiet. No loud neighbors, room had a microwave and upon request a mini fridge. The AC unit was blasting cold air and honestly I was stuck watching Snapped on Oxygen for most of the days. The front office ladies were extremely nice and helpful plus they offered free coffee in the mornings!”

“My colleagues and I visited Houston for a 5 day training. We originally booked hotel rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston by the Galleria (see my review). We were extremely disappointed with the Double Tree and drove over to The Whitehall immediately after reading their reviews in hopes they would have availability. John at the front desk saw the despair in our eyes and came to our rescue with five rooms with double beds for us. John was professional and extremely friendly. Throughout our stay, he remember us and greeted us with a wave and a smile. He continually checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied. Jose and James, employees at the restaurants located in the hotel were amazing! James was kind, energetic, efficient, and remembered all of our names! Jose was courteous, fun to engage with, and made amazing drinks. The food at Edgar’s Herman’s was well prepared and delicious. Our rooms were cleaned with care and all staff members we meet were always smiling. The staff made us feel like we were VIP guests. The hotel is a six minute walk from a variety of restaurants on Grey Street, a 15 minute walk from the aquarium and the Post Market Food Hall. It is easily accessible to major highways which made it really easy to get to.This hotel is not the most updated. You wont see fancy appliances or shiny fixtures in your room but staying at the Whitehall was a great experience! I promise you cannot go wrong with choosing this hotel.

“5 stars hands down!!! Great location. Clean rooms. Quiet hotel. They have a security guard on duty at night&he keeps people out of the parking lot that doesn’t belong there&watches over things out there. ? He was awesome and friendly to speak with as well. I would DEFINITELY stay here again if in the area and I would highly recommend it to anyone else that’s staying in the area. ❤️❤️

“My family stayed here for a wedding and we loved it. Great location downtown. It is located in a business district so it was actually pretty quiet and laid-back on the weekend. We played with our young daughter in the open courtyards around the hotel and walked to the public library when we had some time off. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Mel was great. She would check in on our daughter and ask her about how being a flower girl in the wedding was going. She gave her bubbles to play with and really made her feel welcomed. We would definitely stay again.”

“This was the best hotel stay I have ever experienced in Houston. Staff was the absolute best. I forgot her name but I believe it's Danielle. She need a raise. She for sure have the best customer service. I will only book here from now on the Houston area. Only issue was my fridge wasn't cold. Baby from her service I didn't even complain or care. Everything else was 10 out of 10 from breakfast, cleaning, checking in to make sure I'm good, towels, the pool, washer and dryer and the gym. ? love it here. If that's not her name tell her forgive me but I checked in at 3pm on Saturday June 8. Tell her I will see her in July?”

“I love the new Laquinta Inn design and theme.Its fresh and elegant.
Got here for the night as I had business in the area.I was greeted with a very inviting open plan and classic deco that was just so warming.
Check in was a breeze and our room was clean and tidy.
We came and sat at the bar where Kimberly stole the show.She was really engaging and a joy to have as a bartender
We spent time chatting up Kimberly who is very knowledgeable about the local restaurants and activities in the area.
The only downside to this stay was the smoke detector which went on all night intermittently even though there was no smoke.
Will definitely come back and stay at this location.Price and value for money!!!”

“Stayed one night with large group pre-cruise in late September 2024. Jose the manager on duty did a great job getting everyone checked-in as it was A LOT of people at once. He also got our breakfast vouchers sorted out easily so everyone could get breakfast in the AM which was part of our group rate. We did all use the free shuttle service from the airport to hotel. That was a bit of a hassle as we had a very large party so had to wait for the bus to come a few times but it was expected. The shuttle driver was really nice and helpful and got us all crammed in at our request on the 2nd pick-up! The only real compliant was the outside doors were all messed up (they were waiting for repairs) so we had some issues using stairwell (I hate elevators) and the swimming pool entrance as we just wanted a bit of sun after the plane trip. Overall very happy with our 1 night stay. Rooms were clean and big spot in the lobby to sit and enjoy everyone's company.”

“I recently stayed at the Magnolia Hotel Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is beautifully designed, with an interesting circular lobby layout and a welcoming breakfast area on the second floor. The gym on the 23rd floor, complete with a rooftop pool, was a fantastic addition.
My room was spacious and had a luxurious extended-stay feel. While the millwork could have been a bit more upscale to match the overall vibe, I appreciated the kitchenette and the hotel's beautiful historical renovation.
The hotel offered convenient parking options, including valet parking. Although there's no lounge on the property, there are plenty of places to sit and work, as well as various dining options.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Magnolia Hotel Houston and would highly recommend it.”

“The room that we booked was great. everything was clean and we had a pleasant stay. This hotel was about 35 minutes to the downtown area. The staff were also super friendly.”
“This hotel was surprisingly comfortable and quiet. I stayed here for two nights while my sister had a surgery performed. When I pulled up I have to admit I was a little scared of the location but it was a safe place that seems to be frequented mostly by business travelers and out of town laborers. I would stay here again if it was necessary for me to visit that area again.”

“Came to Houston for training. I always stay at an IHG location if possible. Santos, at the front desk, is awesome. He went above and beyond to help me when I was I need. He also flagged me down for a lost item I was looking for! He must have known it was mine (I suppose I asked him for help often enough). He’s a good people person. Clean rooms but a tough location (I guess??) if you order door dash— a whole other argument on a different platform. Will stay here again if need be.

Unfortunately my fellow guests were less so. As I walked in at 10:30 pm an older gentleman was complaining to the front desk person about something that was obviously out of their control. Despite me standing in clear view of both, he continued his diatribe. Finally, after several minutes he wrapped up and left.
Ashley, then cheerily and professionally helped me check in. She dealt with the situation with class and professionalism.
This hotel was pretty nice for the price of a corporate event, and the staff was top notch.”

“Centrally located near the border of South Houston and Pasadena. The rooms are awesome since the flooding during Hurricane Harvey. New bedding, new floors (laminate wood) and very clean. The smoking rooms don't smell like you'd expect. Cost per night went up but it's well worth it, especially having a nice room in this location.”
