I like this park except for stickers! Poor dogs can’t walk on the “grass” due to all the stickers. Tons of deer to enjoy and lots of species of birds! Beware do not arrive early we had to wait before they would let us in! Sites are large and level gravel. Picnic table and fire ring!

We stay here when we travel to south Texas. It's a beautiful , but small USACE park. Deer, armadillo, might even see a wild hog on the trails in the woods. The sunset this August was incredible!

We have a beautiful view of Lake Somerville and have greatly enjoyed a peaceful weekend here.Dog-friendliness: Park is pet friendly as long as they are leashed.

Such a beautiful place to go. Price is reasonable. The volunteers at the booth are friendly and most of them just make me laugh. It's a good idea to bring ant killer.

So disappointed in Yegua Creek this time. We haven't camped here in a few years. First thing we noticed when we arrived is they now have 6 sets of park host. Well you would think that would be a plus! Well it wasn't! They give you your pass card when you check in with a gate code on the back. I thought that was neat in case we had to go out after hours. I didn't realize they close the gate at all hours of the day! They didn't even have anyone at the gate this morning at 9 am. Second, the restroom lights never came on at dark. How is someone supposed to shower in the dark? You have all these people on the payroll and it seems they work when it's convenient for them! Army Corp you need to do better!

Great sites with great views all around. No sewage hookup but convenient dump stations. Bath house was decent. Will return!

Everyone here was very nice and we felt safe there tent camping. The restrooms were clean and the park was well maintained. We spent the weekend camping here with friends and their family. We had such a great and relaxing time we wanted to extend our stay another night (Sunday). We went to the front and the lady said sorry they were completely full and the chances anyone would cancel were slim to none. Our friend looked at their online booking site and saw that there were PLENTY of spots left so we booked our spot for another night. I'm not sure why she lied about no spots being available.

Nice park but a little run down. Take fire ant killer and watch for sticker burrs. But all in all we had a good time and probably will return. They seem to have maybe a armadillo problem as there are lots of holes that appear to be from armadillos. Park host was very nice and they did have a nice hiking trail.

Senerinty at its finest. Quiet, peaceful, and mostly adults; that's what Yegua Creek Park offers. Upon arrival around sunset, I was welcome by a herd of deer. The next night my campsite was invade by racoons, which provided an unforgettable experience.

We really enjoyed our campsite! Stayed right on the lake, great sunsets, well maintained sites. Bath house is a little outdated but clean, there’s hot water but only for a short while. Site wasn’t level which was an issue for our class B but we made do. Saw lots of deer and armadillos! I would stay again.

Beautiful state park with plenty of room for all kinds of campsites. We have a 30' fifth wheel and had no problem. Good elbow room between spaces, beautiful views, plenty of wildlife. Lake Somerville is gorgeous. Definitely put this one on your list, especially considering how inexpensive it is. Love it!
