We were so delighted with our stay at this historic Harvey House! The breakfast was delicious, the period furnishings were outstanding, and the bed was super comfortable. The nice large rooms were more than we expected. Krissy was a wonderful host and told us about the history of the Harvey House and how it was refurbished by the local community. A simply wonderful holiday house and we look forward to coming back.

Big fan of Harvey Houses. Slaton is quiet and interesting and my hostess was fun and kind and a great cook. I had the whole building to myself as it was a winter (off season) visit.Would love to visit again with my son.

I had a fantastic experience during my stay here on NYE. Carol and the rest of the lovely staff treated me like royalty and there was nothing left to want! It’s a must if you are in the area. Come with an appetite as well- the breakfast is no joke!

This is an absolute gem. Very nice facility that has been turned into a bed and breakfast. Nice size rooms. Historic building. Has a big room downstairs to hold an event. It's close to the train track exchange so you get to see train engines and all. Even if a train does go by the building is really solid so you hardly hear it. Definitely off the beaten path...about 20 minutes east of Lubbock in Slaton TX. Can also visit the very popular Slaton Bakery.Rooms: Set up with antique furniture. Well decorated.

Tony who was volunteering that day was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the Harvey House. They have done a great job retiring the building and keeping the history alive. There is not much to the museum part of the building and it is best to ask questions and they are happy to educate and walk you through time. There is also a caboose outside with the interior remodeled. The building an host events and they have 5 bedrooms that can be rented for a state. The rooms are very nice. This is an unassuming place that appears to be the best place to stay if your in Slaton.

A great stop. Beautifully restored and super clean. Loved our room (Apache) and the upstairs common space. Was surprised we didn’t hear more train noise. Superb breakfast. Krissy was very helpful and happy to show us around.

What a delightful bed and breakfast! The host went out of her way to accommodate our late arrival, the rooms are diligently updated and maintained, and the breakfast spread in the morning was varied and delicious. The host allowed us to choose the breakfast time. We felt at home here.

The staff at this inn take the guest's needs seriously. I asked for GF food, and they gave me a luscious and filling breakfast according to my needs. Innkeeper Krissy was on the premises throughout my stay to insure the safety of each guest. My stay in the Zuni Room was quiet and very comfortable.Noteworthy details: If you have family or family history in the area, this is a good way to learn something new and makes an excellent "stay-cation". Those who love trains and railroads would especially find this a fun experience.

From the moment I let them know of my allergies, the staff went all out to make things ready for my one night stay. The Zuni room was large with a nice en suite bath, a comfortable queen bed, and an extra dressing room with a twin bed. Although it was upstairs, an elevator made life easier. Innkeeper Krissy stayed through the night for the sake and safety of all of her guests. She provided an early, fresh breakfast well suited to my restricted GF diet. I was impressed by the welcoming feel and attention to details, as well as the history of the place. A quiet stay in preparation for a family need the next day. An excellent staycation for anyone in the area, too.

This house is a wonderful restoration of an historic Harvey House and is the only one that is a B&B in Texas. It is a few minutes from Lubbock and well worth any stay, any time. The host was Cynthia Jones and she gave us a tour of all the rooms and explained the history of the building. We had two rooms with baths and both were amazing. The upstairs has 4 bedrooms and a large, well appointed gathering space with coffee maker and snacks. The downstairs bedroom can be used for a handicapped room. The breakfast was ample and ready when we were. This is a perfect inn to rent all the rooms and have the event center included for special events, quilting or other types of retreats. There are two good restaurants and the Slaton Bakery - not to be missed.

This bed and breakfast was amazing. The rooms were reasonably priced. My family enjoyed the accommodations for the birthday party , in the event hall. The breakfast was amazing Saturday and the Sunday. The staff is so nice. The children loved the tour of the caboose on the property, which was guided by the innkeeper. I highly recommend this establishment.
