It's always a treat to visit BlueStem. We love the smells of the pastries, candles and soaps. The store is beautifully laid out and stocked with unique finds from local Texas Artisians.

This place is a must stop when visiting Shiner, even if just to check out the skilled woodwork that went into the beautiful building. We had a homemade key lime pie and it was excellent! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful from the inside out. Purchased a cutting board hand made by one of the owners. Fairly priced local goods, made by Texans and loved by all. We also tried one of their baked goods that were nothing short of amazing. Good job guys! Thanks for all your help.

Great place to buy goods made in the great state of Texas! Store owner was wonderful she let us take pictures and she also told us all about the place, what it looks like before it does now and how it got to work the way it is now. Just a great place to go if you’re visiting a little town of Shiner, Texas.

Wonderful people! They have a plethora of homemade yummies like cinnamon rolls, pigs in the blanket, cookies, bread, pies and so much more. Usually just on Saturday's though. So get there early or order ahead! You can shop for any occasion or holiday here. Great gifts for everyone in the family. Or for yourself . Everything is Texas made or Texas themed. Local artists and Texas wide creations. They also butcher and sell meat from their own farm. I have tried the bacon, some of the sausage and beef. Fantastic flavor and quality. I love the woodwork Ross has done. Including the building itself. Stop in for goodies, stay for the great conversation.

I loved perusing the unique Texas-artisan items ranging from kitchenware to furniture to soaps to pocket knives and more. The dozen sugar cookies I bought were deliciously soft. I highly recommend a visit!

I picked up a frozen Chicken Pot Pie after Good Friday. We just couldn't wait any longer and made it tonight. So delicious, truly the best I've ever had. Im hoping to pick another up next time I'm in town. Hopefully, you will have some Turtle brownies (I call them Satan brownies because they are sinful!) Thank you for the great dinner tonight, looking forward to next time!

I had been trying to make the trip up for over a year and was finally able to. The Owners greeted me right away and welcomed me in. They were extremely helpful and I had a great conversation with them.Bluestem was built by their own hard work and it shows with the love they have for the shop. The offerings there were amazing and varied and the baked goods were too.Definitely going back soon. Make the stop if you're ever nearby in Shiner or Gonzales.

Truly an Artistic place. Woodworking at a different / new, ( hard to describe), level . Great variety of really good food. It's part of a Shiner, TX. thing if you will. Worth visiting for sure. Good folks.
