“I loved this place! I could have stayed there all day looking through things. There are books galore and all kind of other things. This reminds me of the old drug store in downtown Durant, piles of stuff everywhere! If you like books, I promise you'll find some, and most paperbacks are 50 cents each! The owner was very friendly and engaged with my teenagers about their interests and purchases.”
“a great place and the guy there was awesome as hell I forget his name but he worked the front register he was really nice and helped alot...thanks again for everything”
“We needed help with rent and utilities- thank God my husband is a Veteran. We needed an appointment and was scheduled about a week later. When we arrived, we were asked to provide several pieces of information about my husband's accident and to show documented proof of our lease, identification, and reasons for needing help. Betty Schlesinger is a beautiful human being; who loves God, Veterans, and Families in Crisis. Not only did she qualify us for rent relief, but utility relief, and sign our boys up for Angel Tree. Betty and I will be life-long friends while she is who God used to answer our prayers. We are so grateful, so very blessed, and love you dearly, for your help.,”
“I've been coming to this pick n dig (As-Is) since 2007. The place has changed a lot but still has its charm. This trip, I found a gently used Adidas hat and a great travel fan. Prices are usually pretty great, and they let you test some items before buying. I furnished a home with one of a kind finds from Goodwill. Bring hand sanitizer and/or gloves! I once pulled a desiccated rat from a box. ?”
“They are wonderful, non-judgemental people. In 2018 when my life fell apart, they were there, and gave me just enough help to get my life back in order. Then last year when my bf and I both started going through several series of medical issues and neither could work, they have literally been keeping us alive until we can get back on our feet again. Thank you so much to the angels and volunteers who work and donate. You may not realize how important the work you do is, but it's truly life saving.”
