The sale was low pressure, and very informative. We have had a sleep number for 18 years, it was just time to upgrade.

I just realized I bought a $8k air mattress the warranty is fake. You will be paying hard money because they go flat and they charge you for parts and support they go flat like a regular air mattress. Not worth the money not worth the time they make you wait to fix it

I went to mattress firm and worked with the new manager Zack Thomas. He was very knowledgeable and was able to walk us through everything we needed to make a proper decision on our mattress purchase. I highly recommend Zach and mattress firm if your in the market for a new bed.

At the store: The sales experience was GREAT. I'm sorry I cannot remember the lady's name, but she did a great job at educating us on the product and how it would benefit our sleep. We tested out several of the models and in the end, I became very excited about the purchase. At home: Totally different experience. I felt I was sleeping on a (very over-rated) inflatable mattress. The first night, I felt like I was going to fall off the edge of the bed! I kept messing with the "Sleep Number" in an attempt to find my "perfect" setting. Too hard, too soft, etc. but in the end, it all kept feeling like I was sleeping on (or sometimes in-) a balloon. I was sent a top and inner layer to help with the "balloon effect" and while it did help some, it still was not the "wow/great" I was hoping for. After all, for the sizeable amount of dollars flying out of the pocket, one wants to feel equally happy and satisfied!Forward to today: I ended up having to call and return the mattress. What made matters even worse than the month-long frustrating nightly experience was the fact that this whole "trial" cost me $600. Not only do they not refund the delivery fee (which is understandable I guess,) they also charge you another fee to come pick it up, with no option take it back ourselves. I thought that was extremely unfair, but being just the "drop in the bucket" I guess I have no much say other than just pout in a corner for a second and regretfully move on. Oh well, SleepNumber made a couple bucks off of us.One theory I have about this not working out was the fact that we tested out King size mattresses which is definitely not the same experience as with the Twin-XL I ended up purchasing. My husband was not a fan of SleepNumber so he wanted to keep his Tempur Pedic - and I think this was a HUGE factor why this purchase did not work out. I would've hoped to have been a bit better educated on this type of dynamics, where size DOES matter. Lesson learned that I wanted to share with you all. SleepNumber might be $600 richer off my budget, and I'm hoping that by my sharing this experience helps someone factor this in when making this (big) decision.

Nancy was very helpful and did a great job of explaining everything. She was very patient and was not pushy. She was willing to stay late to help with work schedule.

BUYERS BEWARE!! From the get go .. we were sold model i10which was nothing but massive foam. My wife ended up having back surgery that we believe was caused by the lack of spinal support. Each time we visited the Sleep Number store fronts the sales consultants expressed their dismay we had that system! So the corporate office and customer service could care less that we could see shredded foam and a sagging mattress. Even when we went into the Woodlands TX store to upgrade we were misled and lied to about what was available to us! Finally we had enough and bought an amazing Cal King Hotel Collection mattress from Macys and so glad to put the Sleep Number false claims behind us! Really poor customer service.

The 1st night I slept here was actually nice.. 2nd time was pretty rough. Sadly, the bed wasn't the reason for my bad experience; it was the people. No offer of food or snacks and no one helped me get out which is wild considering the amount of money I paid here. Oh well, I guess. Glad I'm done with this.

I purchased a sleep number bed in late June. I was told it would be delivered Aug. 9th. I was moving from Houston to the Dallas area, on July 1st and went over this several times with the sales person. They shipped the bed to Houston instead of Dallas. I spoke with Lalique and Lashon (sp) separately. They determined it would now be Aug. 25th before they could deliver my bed. I could not understand how it could take two more weeks to get the bed from Houston to Dallas (approx. 200 miles) and was told it was their system. They could not override it to make me a priority and get it to me asap. For appeasement, they took off the delivery charge and gave me credit for bedding. I told them that was nice, but didn't help my situation, as I've been sleeping on an air mattress since July 1st. I'm 74 years old, and this is just not ok. Plus, I purchased a bed four years ago from them, that was $7,000.00 and the new bed is $5,000.00. While I really enjoy the product, the support system sucks! I asked the nice ladies to please let management know they need an override button in order to take care of mistakes like this. I worked in sales and did whatever it took to make my customer happy. Seems like Sleep Number isn't concerned with customer approval.

The new bed was less comfortable than our 15 year old Sleep Number bed. The return process was a nightmare and the Customer Service people were horrible. This has completely turned us off of Sleep Number for our next purchase.

Took an extra month to deliver since they could not find part of the order. Once delivered still could not pay the bill as it was not put into the system properly. Told we can return everything if we were not happy with it during the trial period. When attempting to return they will not accept the $2.000 base back. Cannot exchange, return or even drop back off at the store for them to use for parts even without compensation. They told us we can try to sell it and they have no solution of what to do with it as far as the ability to recycle it. Do not trust what they tell you in the store.

Customer service was great and really being able to understand the difference between the beds helped make our decision.
