Do yourself a favor and make the drive to Herbert's. We get crayfish rice stuffed, de-boned chicken. We have eaten them for years and have never been let down. The Louisiana based company has been part of my favorite holiday and just all-around dinner plans for more than 25 years. Boudin balls, stuffed pork chops, and all kinds of stuffed chicken. Yum, yum ,yummy is all I gotta say!!!

So I thought the most delicious Turkey for thanksgiving was from Lubby's. But this year it was waaaaaaay expensive. So i decided to buy from herbert's and bake it myself. OMG the best EVER!!! We looooooved the flavor. Everyone on Thanksgiving dinner gave us compliments on the turkey and all we did was put it in the oven, follow the instructions. We went back for brisket, chickeb and other goods. We just bever going to buy from nowhere else. Thabk you herberts

We love Hebert’s. We have been going there for years now to pick up some frozen Cajun to take home and eat, but this was the first year that we got a Turkey for Thanksgiving. We liked it so much we went back to get one for Christmas! We got the Tur-chicken stuffed with rice for Thanksgiving and one stuffed with cornbread dressing for Christmas. They were seasoned perfectly and so tender. It will definitely be a tradition to include Hebert’s for the holidays!

We googled “cracklins” on our way from Houston to DFW & exited hwy to go here. They do NOT have original Herbert’s cracklins! I’m always used to stopping at the Louisiana locations & they cook them there so they’re fresh & warm with actual MEAT on the skins. All this location had was premade & bagged “Craws” brand, which were more like pork rinds, super spicy & too hard. Was so disappointed in this, but we did get over $250 worth of crawfish pies & gumbos (all frozen to cook when you get home). Heberts really needs to package THEIR OWN cracklins if they’re gonna sell them this way! I get that not all locations have a built in kitchen, so it really annoyed me they chose to sell some other brand!

I just found this local place. I also visit the one on I10 when I come back from NOLA snd did not realize I had one close to home. I cooked the greasy turkey with dirty rice stuffing for thanksgiving dinner. First off besides tasting great snd moist the Turkey literally fell apart when I took it out of the roaster. Tender, moist and tons fir dirty rice. I am sure folks might complain about the cost bug gif me getting a fresh deboned turkey already seasoned and stuffed, it was well worth the price. My daughter claimed bids on the leftover stuffing which amazes me as she never eats stuffing. Dressing cooked in the casserole yes, but not something from inside the turkey. I will more than likely order my next turkey from them and maybe try a different stuffing mix, but dirty rice will be hard to beat. Next time I am in the mode gif a crawdaddy pie I no longer have to schedule a trip to NOLA.

If you have never been here then you are missing out on some truly great food! My advise, go see for yourselves. You will not be disappointed. I have been going to their shop in Houston for over 30 years and to their shop in the Woodlands for the last 5 years.Great people and great food!
