“We joke that our Poppy girl is a frequent flier at Alamo Hills, but this month it was really true, as she gave us scare with breathing problems due to worsening Pneumonia. Dr. Campbell has cared for Poppy for years, and is exceptional. The office has regularly called to follow up on more severe situations (plural...she's a mess!), and this time the call prompted me to bring her back for an urgent re-check. We were immediately referred for specialty care, which resulted in an ICU hospitalization which likely saved her life. SO grateful for the entire kind & compassionate team at Alamo Hills Animal Hospital! Wish we were not on a first name basis...but glad I can count on the office to help with dog disaster after dog disaster. :)”

“I was 10 minutes late to the appointment, and still hardly had any wait. My dog needed his internal anal glands extracted and a bordetella shot. Everyone was very friendly. They even gave him his dose of Bracecto for me because I always have difficulty giving him pills. I've been bringing my dog here for at least seven years. They're always friendly and understanding and you can tell they enjoy working with animals.”
“This animal clinic is a great place if you have time and money to spend. Great mom and pop clinic for the most part. A bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it if you can afford it and want comprehensive health care for your pet. The only downside really is that we usually don’t get a call for future appointments or notifications when my pets need vaccines or other routine care. The parking here is real tight (city style).”

“Dr. Castaneda is really the best. She is so thorough, non-judgemental, and patient. We have an american bully who has never hurt anyone but gets nervous during vet visits. Dr. C takes her time with him and makes us all feel safe during our visits! She is also very cost conscious and considers lifestyle modifications/ alternatives first. We have struggled finding a vet office that is comfortable with our dog, cost effective, and trustworthy. We feel like we found that here. All the techs are also awesome and great with our doggie too!”

“I have been coming to Cibolo Canyons Veterinary Hospital for almost 10 years now and they have provided exceptional care for 4 of my Great Danes, 2 mini doxies, a pit mix and several cats over the years. The techs and doctors have always done an excellent job of working within my animals’ comfort level during exams. Their fear free approach to exams makes visits much less dramatic for all of my animals but especially the nervous or reactive ones. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this because with a 145lb reactive dog many places would insist on sedating him. Cibolo Canyons Vet staff goes above and beyond to help make his vet visits as relaxing and fun as possible for him. Rogue doesn’t yet LOVE the vet but he is getting much more comfortable with each visit and we are able to keep him and the staff safe. We greatly appreciate the entire staff for the care provided over the years!”

“I'll never take my cat anywhere else! The staff and vet are the absolute best. They will ensure they take care of your fur baby and do it on a budget. I highly recommend this vet office if you're looking for a perfect place to take your fur baby. I take my cat there quarterly because unfortunately my cat is an indoor and outdoor cat and he gets in all sorts of trouble. They have accommodated me time after time for emergencies during the day and they don't have any availability. They have seen him in between their appointments just so they can take him in. They're so awesome. Can't rave about this place enough.”
“We started taking one of our kitties to El Dorado when he was having urgent health issues related to his feline leukemia. The care Dr. Macintosh and his staff provided was the most compassionate, personalized care we've ever received at any vet clinic we've been to. They were able to get us in quickly and handled our concerns with such care that although it was meant to be a one-time visit, we kept going back and have transfered care of our other cats to this clinic since. Dr. Mac and staff are incredibly caring and knowlegeable.We ended up having to put down one of our cats because his health was rapidly declining from complications from his feline leukemia, and we were handled with the utmost care and concern by everyone in the clinic. They even sent us a card afterward and made a donation to A&M in Richie's honor. There aren't enough words to describe how well we were cared for and continue to be cared for by this clinic. Highly recommend them. Thank you Dr. Mac and staff - we're so grateful for you!”

“I give them more than 5 stars. After an unexpected illness with my Raskull they were able to see us the following day. Raskulls vet of 12 years couldn’t take see him until a week later but they offered me to take him to another of their locations which was 35 mins. away, without traffic. Friendship Pet Hospital has gained a customer. They checked Raskull thoroughly and took their time with him. Love, love them.”

“Kittyhawk animal hospital really show that they care for your pet. My pet loves to go there because when he sees his technicians he's happy I highly recommend this veterinarian the only negative I would say would be they charge you for an appointment so you can get there which I understand, but when you get there on time, and several minutes early and they don't see you till 20 minutes after or 30 minutes after your appointment time which means you're there for practically an hour for an appointment that lasted 10 minutes”
“We started taking our dog to Canyon for a minor emergency when we couldn't get in to see our regular vet. They have been very good and the wait times are pretty short. A couple of weeks ago we found out our dog had a tumor and at her age we opted to keep her comfortable at home with some meds. But she took a turn for the worse. We called to ask if they could fit us in on a Saturday morning when they were swamped and they did. They understood that if they couldn't fit us in that she would be suffering greatly over the weekend. The staff and Dr. Newton were great!! They were a very empathetic in this difficult situation.”

“We had our first visit Dr. Huffman yesterday, and he is absolutely amazing, as is the rest of his team, especially Irene!From calling me back same-day to discuss imaging/lameness/injections questions I had(before we’d even been to the clinic yet), recommending a lameness exam PRIOR to doing imaging(which can be costly so I appreciate him not jumping straight to that), taking his time and doing a MUCH more thorough exam than our previous vet who did the PPE, he showed us all around our horses mouth and teeth(he’s very mouth shy so we haven’t been able to see in there), he took out a skeletal diagram to show us exactly where the injections go and how it helps to lubricate and move the joint. I feel like he took extra time and care after telling him everything we’ve been through with our horse since purchasing him 8 months ago. He was patient with all of our questions, very down to earth, and even though he had his next patient waiting, he didn’t make us feel rushed at all. They offer a wellness program that I’ve not seen offered anywhere else, and it’s a valuable program. I’m thankful he was recommended to us, and glad to have him as our vet now!”
