Bought a blower Stihl blower for my sons birthday. Upon eneterong the store the return policy plainly states 60 days, but the counter girls were conversating back and forth about 7 days. Then the cashier takes it to the back and a guy comes back without the blower or the box stating he return it and charge be 10% because box was smashed. Mind you it as smashed upon purchase, which I didn’t make a big deal about . They opened the box, took it to the back to “test it” then came back up saying due to the condition of the box and sometikng “sticky on the handle” it’s a 10% restock fee. The policy for restock is 15%. So it seems they do not abide by the return policy rather make up things as they go. Disappointing and will never make another purchase here.

The service dept was great, they helped get me a new lawnmower replacement from Greenworks since the replacement part wasn't available.

Helpful employees, most things you might need in the arena if tools they likely have. Then there's batteries, a great place to stock up on them.

I always have a great shopping experience when Terry H. Is up front. She always helps me find what I’m looking for. Also Jason was there and he went the extra mile to help me find the Milwaukee Tool I was looking for. They both stayed 10 min after closing time to make sure I got what I needed and I was very happy when I left. Thanks again Terry H. And Jason for all your help. Greg Wilson

Not so much the store visits. Employees are nice and helpful. But, whoever dreams up ways to change the Northern website needs to try shopping on the website. I don’t need fancy glowing “+” signs everywhere. I typed up men’s work shirts and got everything from fans to power washers. All I need is work shirts guys. Your website is getting as bad as the orange big box’s website, where you type one item and get every item they have ever carried since they opened.

I bought a trailer mounted pressure washer here and have used their service department to keep it up and and running. Ron has been amazingly helpful each time I’ve come in. They communicate well and complete the services I have needed sometimes before I can even get home after dropping it off! Highly recommend Ron, the service department, and Northern Tool!

Really nice people, unfortunately my experience with having my tool serviced was very poor.Brought my Ego mower in last September. Finally received the mower back in late December and recognized immediately that it had not been repaired. They also did not refund my $50 deposit for warranty until I called back later. Returned the mower the next week, early January, and didn't receive it back until late March. Immediately upon returning the mower home it was obvious the issue was not corrected.To make matters worse, the arm of the mower, which telescopes, was damaged bad enough that made extending the handles for operation almost impossible without excessive force.Buying a fancy EGO Mower seemed like the way to go but 6 months in the service department with no resolution isn't worth the stress.

Went there at 6:53pm they close at 7pm. Tessa was so friendly and helpful. She had no idea i had a plumbling emergency, and she helped me out so fast and friendly. She got me what i needed and didnt care about the time or check it either. Her main focuse was getting me taken care of. She rang me up and even helped me change my contact info for my account. You cant find this kind of help anywhere else. Thank you Tessa and thank you nothern tool for hiring great people.

Went to the store for an electric heater at the beginning of November. They didn’t have it in stock, so we paid for the item to have it ordered & shipped to the store for later pick up. Transaction went through. They got our contact info. All was good.After two weeks, nothing. We called the store & were told the heater had not arrived yet.Now over a month later, we called again. Was told it was not on that day’s truck, but it shows it was shipped to the store & should be there tomorrow. This was two days ago. And again. Nothing.Today we called for the THIRD time. The girl that answered could not find anything under the name or phone number even though the previous two calls had our information.At this point, we flat out told them to forget it & we are now disputing the charge with our bank to get a refund.Clearly this store doesn’t keep good records, nor do they have any follow through with orders placed. The situation is made worse by the fact we drove in from out of town just to place our order. Needless to say, we will not be shopping there again.
