“I got to the Botanical Gardens earlier than usual today, so it was time for lunch when I left. I like to find "new to me" places to eat in that area instead of going back home and re-visiting the same old places. I was definitely in the mood for either Korean or Indian food, so I did a "Korean food near me" search in Apple Maps and the Korean Market was only about 4.8 miles away, so I didn't even bother looking for anywhere else. The restaurant is actually in a fairly large Korean market. I was shocked by how small it is. There are eight tables crammed into a very small room. You really have to squeeze through to get to your seat. I felt guilty because there was only one table for four left. I sat there for a few minutes before I realized nobody was coming to take my order. I asked a lady at a neighboring table, and she told me I needed to go up and order at the window. They had a nice sign over the window with the menu. It didn't have Korean names for some of the dishes. There were descriptions like: Blackbean Sauce with Noodles, which I assumed was jajangmyeon. There were plenty of good things to choose from like bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, and kimchi pancakes. The lady who told me where to order had been raving with a man at table by her about the Spicy Seafood with Noodles. I decided to order that. It turned out to be a HUGE bowl of soup loaded with shrimp, crab, octopus, squid, vegies, and noodles. The broth was absolutely delicious. It tasted of the sea. I was in heaven, although it was hot as hell! It was so hot that I had to let it cool down because the noodles hanging down from the chopsticks were burning my chin! The soup was served with four side dishes. They were kimchi, spicy cucumber, fish cakes, and pickled radish. Each was portioned perfectly in one of those little checkered paper things that french fries used to come in way back. (I did notice that a Korean man who by all appearances was visiting from Korea, got his served in silver trays.) No biggie. When I finished eating, I bussed my own table. They have signs on the walls letting you know that there is no staff to clean up after you, and you are expected to clear your own mess. I am fine with that. I wandered around the market for a while. I saw a lot of things I wanted to buy, but I have a friend visiting for a week and don't think I will have time to cook anything. I did grab some single-serve instant Tteok-bokki. I will definitely be back to eat here in the future and try some other dishes. I think I can figure out what some of them are from the description. But, just to be sure, I'll learn how to pronounce my favorites and ask if they have them.”

“Some items are a little more than the bigger chain grocery stores , probably because they don't have the purchasing power that comes with buying in volume . But the produce here is very nice and they have some items I can only find here . Also I don't have to wait for what seems like an eternity at the check out . The staff is always courteous”

“Overall, this is a decent Commissary. I have had a few times where frozen foods seemed freezer burnt, though. Finally realized today that as I was buying some items, there was the stocking cart out, and no one around. I could see if it was just one or two boxes, but there is no way one person can put that much food away in a fair amount of time.Fruits seem to be going to the way side as the products are not always the freshest. Always have to finish my shopping at Walmart or HEB.Best buy here, like most other bases, is the meat products. Fresh cut meat is always cheaper here. Staff always has a friendly attitude.”

A++ for this place!Place is always clean, Staff is very welcoming to a point where you feel like family. Always has a full stock of items from lottery-food-daily essentials-smoking accessories & more; with all products very reasonably priced ☺️A year ago the timing of employees wasnt accurate to the opening time posted on the front however that has changed to them opening punctually and staying open until the very last minute possible.Again... “I always have a good shopping experience at Sprouts Bulverde Road location! I do want to point out that Gino, meat dept, always goes above & beyond. The dept. is always clean & organized. He is friendly & interacts with the customers, assisting them with their questions. One Sunday I’d asked for lamb chops but he said he was out of them. He actually tracked me down in the frozen section & let me know he had some. He’s the best! It’s this level of service that has me returning weekly to Sprouts! Excellent customer service, Gino!!!”

“Doesn't have the variety of products I would like, but most stuff is reasonably priced.Recently, with the gas shortage jacking up prices sky high, they are not as reasonably priced as they once were.Do have to say that more often than not, they have stuff available online for ordering, only to inform us before pickup that they don't have that and are substituting something 'comparable'. Not always with what we really wanted. ?I have to say that for the most part, their Real Simple meals are a good bargain for the price. When you consider what going to McDonald's or Wendy's costs, the price is comparable and the food is better and healthier for you!I am getting fonder of their prepared deli meats in half-pound containers. Just get some bread, mayo, and the meat of your choice (currently tuna, rotisserie chicken, turkey with cranberry, and seafood) and voila, instant lunch. Much cheaper than going to McDonald's or Wendy's, and healthier too!”

“The manager, Bambi, and the staff greatly care for the residents. Safety is a priority, and the customer service is absolutely phenomenal. Crime is very minimal here. The truth is there is no apartment complex in America. That does not have some crime. Gated or not. What I can say is there are no violent crimes that happen here. No Street thugs or shady folks walking around. Cars have been broken into, but it's few far and in between. If you own a Kia or Hyundai, it's not a matter of if, more like when. Don't be upset at the apartment complex; be mad at the poor security your car manufacturer provided. I have kids, and I highly recommend living here.”

“I work as a letter carrier for the post office and this place has been an oasis in the desert for me when I work this area. Super nice staff and they carry Biolyte which is basically an iv in a bottle. With this heat it really helps to rejuvenate my energy and 5 minutes break and I'm ready to get back to it. “Glad to have DG in the neighborhood. Great store when you only need a few things. Surprisingly decent selection of goods considering size of store. As most places in the area employee staffing seems to be an issue. I say this because at every visit store is disheveled and in the process of stocking more goods. Typically the cashier is stocking shelves in the store and running back and forth to ring up customers. Shout out to the store employees for making it happen.”
