Our first visit to The Big Red Barn for the Fall Festival Steak Night. Some close friends from 9-Pin Bowling invited us out to Steak Night. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, hospitality and the great food. Great setup for this type of event. Well Done to all.

Love this place! So much to look at. The monthly Friday Dinners are always a great time to eat, listen to music, meet new people, and dance. The fish was the best I’ve had yet. Sooooo good!!!!

The Big Red BarnThe Texas Agricultural Education and Heritage Center was founded to educate the public about our farming and ranching agriculture heritage with a unique experience. A little bit I found out about this location...The Mission is to educate the public, especially young people, about the importance of agriculture in our society and to promote the heritage of farming and ranching in Texas. Programs and displays have been developed to give visitors information and experiences in rural agricultural life past and present. TAEHC is located on a working farm in Guadalupe County on land that has been farmed since the 1850's and donated by Bartoskewitz family who are fifth generation farmers.Their event center is known as The Big Red Barn. This is a review for my experience when my husband and I attended a wedding there in June. I was beautiful location and perfect for this couple looking for a casual event. It also has a huge kitchen for catering. I'm sharing plenty of pictures of the barn and compound. We would defiantly recommend this location for any events that fits your rural lifestyle.

The Big Red Barn is an excellent hands-on museum and extension service. The monthly Friday Feast and seasonal festivities are wholesome and educational events that bring our community together in a positive way.

Great place for family. Whether just looking at the animals, the little old city, or having an event here. This trip was for steak or fish plate to benefit FD.

Very nice facility, can accommodate various sized get togethers. Has a large second room to expand into if needed. On a state highway and 2-3 miles from the interstate (I-10).

Very nice facility only problem is the parking the building is meant to hold about 300 people but there is only two handicap parking spaces if you're more than two handicapped parkers you need to park way out in the gravel and roll a walk away through the gravel

We got married at this beautiful, historic site. The chapel was absolutely perfect, especially for our small, intimate ceremony. The staff was so accommodating ahead of time making sure if we needed access to the venue for anything (decor ideas, photos, etc) that we had it. Our wedding day was like a fairytale! The barn was nice & large & perfect for everyone to spread out, dance, & celebrate. We had yard games outside which were a bit as well. Everyone was amazed with how beautiful everything was & we enjoyed ourselves soooo much. I can't wait to someday bring our future children back to see where we got married.

Enjoyed the historic buildings and tractor competition that was going on. The animal petting area isn't running but you can walk around and view. May be due to covid.
