We have had an account with Fastenal for years. What is this company thinking you can’t walk in and if you call you get a recording telling you to go online and order. Seems like a terrible business move if we wanted that we would jus use McMaster Carr!

It was obvious by the sign that they now require an account but apparently they also have given up on customer service. I know I didn't have an account with them but I have definitely spent my fair share of dollars there. They could have helped me but I felt like I was rushed out the door because I wasn't going to be able to spend money there. I was the only customer in the store.

Have been trading with this location for years. To my surprise today I was informed if I did not have an account that I would not be able to buy over the counter. I asked why and they said it was to detour people who aren't going to spend more than $25. They explained to me that it would be a waste of their time and corporate says. Too many people coming in wanting to buy one bolt. So I guess I will take my business elsewhere. Or find it on the Internet.Super sad. For a matter of fact I didn't go in there for one bolt typically I purchase at least 50 to a $100 when I go in there. Is just the fact that I was made to feel unwelcome. I'm sure I'm not the only one
