I adopted a white husky and she is the sweetest dog I have ever had and the treatment they gave me was really very good and I am seeing every day how the girls make an effort to take care of the dogs there.

Not a place to work, nor get your next pet. I have reported to the City Officials to just be told there is no issue. I grabbed 5 kittens and 1 puppy to foster. 1 kitten died, 3 have been at the vet for a week, and the puppy needed blood because she had lost too much getting spayed and was left to starve to death.

I understand that this place may be small, probably under funded, and understaffed, but wow... I have never been to a more sad little place. I went to look at a dog and got there about 30 minutes before closing. The shelter was open, but no one was there. I looked everywhere , but I was there alone with those poor dogs. I could have loaded my car with them and left without anyone knowing and that's just sad. The City of Seagoville should be ashamed and do something about this. Those animals deserve better.

I’m in the process of adopting a pup and I had a great experience here. The staff was super kind and helpful, you can tell they really care for all of the animals there. I also love that it’s a no kill shelter.

I adopted a kitten there today. The staff lady was really helpful.I was given a good price for the adoption fee. I was also given a giftbag. And they gave me a cool cardboard animal carrying box. I give my experience there today five stars.

First off it took days to get some one to actually answer their phone!Secondly, the lady I spoke with (Ashley) when we were trying to figure out who they gave our dog to, was SO rude and defensive the entire time that nothing was resolved! Unfortunately we’re still trying to figure out who they gave our dog to since we’ve called the people they claimed to have given him to and no one had seen him. :(

We got our sweet Phoebe here. The man was very nice that helped and made adoptions very easy. They responded quickly to Facebook messages when I asked about what available kittens they had. We couldn’t be more happy to have rescued from the Seagoville shelter!

I'm impressed! For a small shelter, they've really stepped up their game. They only have 1 staff member so it's hard to reach them by phone. But they have volunteers that help with their Facebook page so it's easy to reach someone that way. They also have a solid volunteer program. The shelter is also supported by a non-profit. I wish the city would contribute more so the non-profit didn't have to pick up the slack. But despite the lack of help, the shelter is a no-kill. That says a lot!

These people are amazing and I truly believe they care for every animal that comes through. This is where I got Layla and still if I email to update them on her they act like they care.
